The Salford SOS appeal

Last night I received a call from Shirley Bradshaw a member of the committee who operated the Salford SOS appeal.
Their club now being financially secure it was decided that they would distribute the remaining funds amongst local amateur RL clubs initially and also in recognition of Swinton Lions gesture of help a couple of years ago a donation to the Swinton Supporters Trust.
A very fine gesture from our neighbours and on behalf of the Trust and the Club I'd like to thank them for returning the compliment and look forward to receiving a cheque for around £500.00.

A refreshing change and nice to read of the famous rugby league family looking out for each other instead of the usual sniping and moaning

Great gesture Salford, but we could have done with, another three noughts on the end! !!!
