Doncaster’s Richard Wilkinson spoke to the official website after helping the Dons to a 22-36 victory over Swinton Lions.

The young scrum half played a key role in helping the side produce a second half comeback to end a sequence of successive away losses.

Wilkinson however felt the Dons could have produced a better opening to the match.

“We started a bit poorly today, last week against Rochdale Hornets we got off to a really good start, this week we didn’t start in the way we wanted to, this didn’t reflect our game plan.

“In the first five games of the season we were getting off to good starts and it was setting us off well in games and giving us a platform to build on.

“We started to get into a bit of a dogfight, but last week we got back to our good ways and started well.

“This week we went back to our old ways, but once we get our starts going well we have no problem at all, we have a great team.”
