Doncaster player coach Paul Cooke spoke to the official website after seeing his side record a 10-22 away victory at Barrow Raiders.

The victory gave Doncaster their first double of the season and see’s them remain in third place in the Kingstone Press Championship.

Cooke was pleased with the win, after acknowledging how tough going to Barrow is.

He said: “We started particularly well, we went through the first 11 sets really well and that laid a real marker down for the rest of the game.

“They are a tough nut and obviously really enthusiastic with a man in charge who is bringing an extra four or five percent out of the players alongside him.

“We had it all on, we always knew it was going to be tough, when we played them at last month they should have beaten us and that gave them a bit of confidence going into the game.

"We knew that they would be ready to play and we had to match that, and for large parts we did.”
