Think Benns kicking game today was top draw , kept them on the back foot & don't think he missed a conversion , was fearing the worst today considering our injury list & all their recent recruiting , some big lads in the Gateshead side , Welham was pants never had a sniff , Maples was , well Maples , all running & no end product , ref was close to useless , why we have to put up with that standard of officiating week in week out is beyond belief , 2nd half our boys totally outclassed them , some superb stuff played , deserved 3 points

Got to say first half we struggled, especially early doors. After the break, totally dominated.Very impressive half of rugby. They fell to pieces.Couldnt put anything meaningful together at all.Aldous today was a machine. The guy is a man mountain.Great to see Morisson back again.Caused them plenty of problems.Jack and Harry were impressive at 9.Austins injury looked quite bad.As you say Nidge,Benns kicking game was top draw today.Saltonstall, was all over the place today.Very impressive.Maybe cynical of me but the Gateshead lads new what they were doing in that tackle. No need whatsoever to bend his leg back in the tackle like they did.Tackle was made,Austin was going nowhere.Sure nowt will happen as usual.

So its onto the horrendous run of fixtures we have now.Fair bit of travelling in the next 4 weeks.Certainly see what we are made of.Cant afford any slip ups.

Up there with the Hunslet performance yesterday, not a great start not helped by sh*te reffing, but came back brilliantly, said Aldous MOM after 60 mins so really pleased he got it, but could have been anyone from quite a few, got to mention Backhouse again & Saltonstall also outstanding

Off to Wales Friday pm so hope we get more of the same, but big worry for me is no Aldous, Mallinder & Hardcastle due to Saturday commitments & assume Bell will get a ban or will be out injured anyway
