An act of bravery beyond any call of duty would always be applauded and acknowledged by the masses .

I must admit that I to am puzzled at some of the awards given to highly paid administrators who get the accolades for doing what they are paid to do and how successful was the RL world cup there was supposed to be a legacy when will see any evidence ?

Isn't the George Cross awarded for acts of civilian bravery ? These other awards are more for service contributions over decades than individual acts of bravery.
