The Dons can confirm that Sunday’s fixture against Whitehaven RLFC (3pm) has been moved to Castle Park, Armthorpe Road.

The move to the home of the Doncaster Knights Rugby Union side is due to the Keepmoat Stadium surface renovation not being finalised in time for the Kingstone Press Championship fixture.

“It was a race against time to get the pitch in order,” said Chief Executive Carl Hall.

“While it may look good, it’s better to give the grass time to grow and repair. We’ve tried to give the pitch the best possible chance, hence the late call, but it just wasn’t to be.

“I Would like to thank David Ryall and Neil Holmes and everyone at the Knights who have been fantastic.”

All tickets purchased for the game will remain valid. Doncaster Knights season ticket holders can come and watch for free they must produce their 2014/15 season ticket at ticket collection point on the day.
