Just been looking through the remaining fixtures for all clubs in the championship and trying to work out how many points we are likely to need to survive,I reckon 45 points (another 10 ) would see us safe

but i think we may need a good number of those to come from bonus points, what does anyone else think?

I think 9 more points should do it and that means winning at least 2 games along with 3 bonus points. We have a very hard run in and are struggling number wise since we lost  our top centre Griffin and the best full back in our Div. Greenwood. Have heard Fev are recalling Keegan Hirst and have injury worries with Leatherbarrow doubtful for Sunday and not sure how Gledhill is recovering he went off early against Halifax and noticed he didnt return. Big games ahead fellow doggies.

It's going to be really tight isn't it, and I reckon a few of us might have a couple of sleepless nights before the season ends. I truly hope that both Batley and dewsbury take their place in the new Championship next season, but hope and eventuality are two different things.

My back of a fag packet calculations tell me:

The current bottom four will be likely to go down.

The current top four are safe.

Sheffield will have a good run, ending up with at least 48 points.

Workington will do fairly well and get about 45 points.

Dewsbury will get 47 points (I forecast this some time ago and, as yet have no need to change it)

Keighley will get 43 points.

Whitehaven will get 43 points.

So I believe that you will need 45 to be safe, meaning that you need to get a further 10 points from your remaining fixtures. Bonus points will be important for every team involved in this struggle.

Interesting times.

I'm still worried. The games against Sheffield, Dews, W'haven will be massive.

Only 3 points seperating the team in 5th with the team in 10th - therefore we need as many as we can and a bit of luck too, as all of the teams in the relegation mix can take points off each other and the ones above.

Worringly, as the bottom 4 look almost certainly down already, we only have Swinton to play out of them.

No easy games from here on in, could well go down to the wire.

What we're dealing with here is a complete lack of respect for the law

I think 46 will be the safety line as I can't see Keighley finishing on more than 45. Dews & Sheff on 50, Worky on 49 & Haven/Batley on 48.Top 4 safe and current bottom 4 down. Still going to be tight though.
