I am much more encouraged about next season by the positive attitude by Mark Campbell and Andy Hay at today's meeting. Thank God FN's disastous connection is gone. There was something to clear up but that's gone The new players looked good and were dedicated to us in their speeches, Mark said there was nobody on the transfer list amongst our listed players, and the development is moving forward in all diections. Onward and upwards. Still available if required.

A bit confused. Told nobody on transfer list that made me feel really good and then the RL Express says that Hunslet are negotiating Kain's signing. Think I will leave it all until everything settles down and we know where we stand.

Just because no one is "officially" on a transfer list doesnt mean thats the matter closed

The club will listen to offers for certain players if they receive them - we cant operate with 35+ players especially if we are PT

A silly example i know buf if a team offered 5 or even 6 figures or just even a deal to get them off the wage bill for a player that isnt guaranteed action do you think the club wouldnt consider it just because the club told a few fans at an open day there was no one on a transfer list?

Everyone has a price at the end of day

Good points. These are matters to take into consideration. Lets hope the newcomers are better or even as good as the leavers then. Hope they get the final stayers settled. The coordination of the team is important and therefore the friendlys are helpful. Lets hope the pitch grass has settled down before the Cas game.

Things seem to be moving for next season and today's Pand C have comments from AH which seem to suggest that the players mentioned for leaving are part of the set up. I hope so. The friendly games will give us a good clue who will bw in the team for the season's start.

Very, leep. The comment 'I don't think anybody else is likely to leave' is very encouraging and Ellis was the first name mentioned at hooker position. On that basis we will have a blend of experience and youth the ideal combination. Roll on the first game.

I think there be some more leaving especially if there is another 2 coming in

Not sure. Dint think he was going anywhere ain't heard anything different.

Surely not! Struggled without him and Matty Dale for parts of last season. Matty's gone though along with Keegan and Crossley, and Annakin and Trout unlikely to return, so two newcomers won't even balance the books.

Why Annakin and Trout not coming back I thought MC had done a deal for them for a full season

Someody from Wakefield put on the Facebook page a while ago that Annakin had decided he wanted to have a proper crack at getting into their team, or words to that effect. Or maybe the deal with the Leeds quartet had an impact, perhaps they are a fair bit cheaper, dunno, but three of the Leeds lads are forwards.

Annakin was a fantastic impact player with the ball, and understandably hugely popular with the fans as a result, but he did have one or two moments where he was caught out defensively. Trout was very solid all round, but perhaps not a massive difference maker. I liked both players, but don't think it's the end of the world if we haven't got them.
