The best thing about Yorkshire is with sea levels rising it's there to stop Lancashire eroding.
The speed of erosion from the North Sea means that Lancashire will soon be bigger than Yorkshire.
I won't mention the war but we did win it didn't we?

The coastline isn't eroding; envious people from elsewhere in Britain keep stealing bits.

A bit like Germany, Yorkshire has won the peace.

;)

Although, to be fair, we haven't had the ambition to create something like Burnley,  an entire town which exists as a World War I Theme Park.

Depends upon who you mean by "we."

However, I will apologise about Jeremy Clarkson and Eric Pickles.

Fortunately, they have been run out of town and are now inflicting themselves on Southerners.

Along with Jeremy Paxman, Bernard Ingham, Godfrey Bloom (though southern by birth, but has taken well to his current surroundings), Geoffrey Boycott etc, etc.

Quite a list to apologise for. :D

Clarkson's only from Yorkshire when it suits him which is thankfully hardly ever.

I think Jeremy Paxman is great; he's not been chucked out; he's an evangelist.

Apparently, Bernard Ingham lives in Croydon. I think that's somewhere Down South.
