Big Callum should have no problem if it's a heavy wet pitch. If it's a dry track then Dan Rooney comes in on the bench.

Biggest problem is Olstrum. Good player but has been very ill disciplined in the last 3 derby games, think he has had 2 yellows and 1 red card as well as being a penalty machine. Haven will target him, can he keep his head ? Personally I wouldn't risk him, too important a game to be a man short in.

Workington Town. Then. Now. Always.

Every day of the week yes !! But his availability is the big unknown week to week . What he gives far outweighs the possible negatives .

Well I'm going to leave the team selection to the man who gets paid to do that, PV.   I do however have a few things I want to see like each Town player giving us 120%, Lupton and Forber combining well and both kicking to their very best ability, seeing Jessie Joe put on his backside early on and watching the Haven fans disappearing in to the sunset with quarter of an hour to go with the scoreboard about 10 points up in our favour.

I remember when .............................

"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimension, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave Hadfield - Independent 25th August 1996.

Connor Farrell on twitter saying 4 of them playing this weekend, I'd imagine it being Farrell, Murphy, Burke and Tierney!

True Keith , everything comes down to the two halves . Especially in adverse conditions - controlling the game , with the boot and with the noggin . Kick long , kick smart and defend in heir half .

Why don't we just play whoever we like and hope we don't get any points docked 😳

In this instance what if we used Wigan first team, blasted them out of sight then were deducted the 3 points we'd got? At least Haven wouldn't then get any and our points difference would be miles better! That's why these teams should be deducted MORE than 3 and should see their points difference amended.

Batley chairman had been on their forum saying this is gonna run on possibly TWO weeks ! Interestingly yesterday he said the ' offending ' player would play on Sunday ... But now he's saying he won't ... The RFL need this like a hole in the head !! And Batley have got some killer fixtures still to come ...

Well if there's 4 Wigan lads it's safe to say there won't be any stack or olstrum.

Was told that Rooney is 18th man and queried it. He was told Wigan guys were up and they had no choice but to play them.
thats bad news especially in a derby game.

Lets hope DR dies next year

lets not start with rumours about being forced to play Wigan players. Not exactly something we want before our biggest game in years. If Wigan lads are a available I'm sure they will play only if vievers wants them to

Well he's already said that he's turned Wigan players down before so that's a load of rubbish.

And I'm pretty sure the way vievers coaches and the authority he has, none of the players would dare question is selections.

We still need stack and olstrom in ...

Their pack bossed us at the wreck and as bad as we played we could have won the game - haven are a confidence side - couple of early tries could see them wilt... Will the gypsies really want it ?

I can remember after the last game them jumping for joy on the hooter - fair play to them - but one player who took it a bit far was James Newton ... Never rated him...someone snotter the little ######
