Possibly the biggest game we have had in years at Whitehaven on Sunday with so much at stake for both teams- a win and we will be 6 points clear of them in 10th with 3 to play - defeat and we are left staring down the barrel at the drop.

Hope lots of Batley fans make the trip, could make all the difference as it going to be tough up there to get a result.

The thought of then having to beat Dewsbury wearing pink fills me with utter dread the week after, as you just know that wont end well.

Heart says a Batley win, head says we wont do it.

Hope heart wins, but with one recognised half back just cant see it - hope JK gives Grayston a go at 6, cant be any worse than Davies there and its getting desperate now.

As much as this is a 'must-win', I just can't see us having enough firepower to score more than 12-18 points up there. That won't be nearly enough to secure the points the way our defence has been shaping up recently. With the likes of Parker, Calvert and Seymour in their line-up, I fear Whitehaven may give us a bit of a towelling - especially if Faal is brought back in to replace the suspended Paterson.

Seymour first 20 today was very good . His kicking is astute , and he has a good long pass . But he is far from at peak conditioning , is a bit overweight , and never ran once . As the game wore on his influence waned . JJP is hard to get a handle on , very slippery , and Tom Carr was by far their best

If Haven play as dumb as today you have a good chance of getting a win.

They already gave us one good whipping, but at a time when we were REALLY down, we've had a decent patch since then. Not only is a 6 pointer, it could actually be a 7, 8 or 9 pointer depending upon the RFL investigation over Fairbank, so we need to beat them to stay ahead if we lose points. Why the downer on Faal? He's never had a lengthy run in the side since he arrived with injuries, illness and suspension. Funny that whenever he played against us for the Steam Pigs he always did well, then he came back into the side after the suspension for a couple of games then disappears again. And Black...where today?

After Haven we have dewsbury and swinton at home and Donny away.

They have Sheffield, Rochdale and Swinton - not sure of venues.

They have an easier run in on paper - it really is absolutely massive for both on Sunday.

Faal rarely played well for us, being a player who flatters to deceive. Just when you decide that you never want him to play for your team again he goes and has a good game and gives you optimism that you have misjudged him and he really is the real deal; then the reality kicks in once more. I'm afraid that he'll never be any good for any team that he plays for.

Absolutely. He's got all the attributes needed to be top quality at this level, but fleeting glimpses of them are all we've seen.
I'd been anticipating his comeback this season in the hope that he might finally provide us with some strike power to go with Josh Griffin, but alas.....
His defensive display against Featherstone was, quite frankly, offensive.

Thats a boost. I hear Miles has signed for Halifax. Hope his mind is on the job as we need our main atrike weapon at his best for the last push.

Fael was poor defensively for us. He could be brilliant at times though. But maybe once or twice a season. We never got to see the best if him due to injures. Hope it's true about the greenwood rumour for our sake. Apparently were signing Ryan fieldhouse from fax.

Only the refs statement to rely on. I guess video footage will struggle to capture any sort of lip reading ala hardakers slur.

So Patterson get's a straight red for calling an opponent a name. In the same game there is a cannonball tackle, and that only warrants a yellow card and 10 minutes in the bin?

The game, or rather the power's that be have gone insane!!!

The tackle will be reviewed and if it was a cannonball tackle the player involved can be charged and banned

Perhaps it was a discussion between the ref & Pat that led to the red card
