So Dewsbury have their response, not guilty. Wasn't our case held at the same meeting? How many of our 38 points have they knocked off!! Anyone from Donny got any idea of their result?

Ive heard a whisper weve got a 3 point deduction as opposed to a fine.

Sundays game is make or break if true.

What we're dealing with here is a complete lack of respect for the law

Kevin said this on 1st August

"Update - matters will be looked at by Rfl next week and if they feel a Tribunal should decide any issues need to give 7 days notice so will be sorted by following week I am lead to believe."

Now if he has got this right and I have no reason to think otherwise, and if I have interpreted it correctly, a decision on any penalty cannot have been made yet. Dewsbury have been told they have no case to answer, I suspect the RFL think we have and it will be referred to a tribunal to decide any penalty imposed. Batley have to be given 7 days notice of this tribunal, so if we have a case to answer it will not be for a while before we know the outcome.

Well, we have a comment under 'oh dear', does anyone know how Dewsbury's case differs from ours and Docaster? AND, if they dock points (surely it can't be more than 3) can we survive if we don't beat Whitehaven, considering we still have to play Dewsbury and Doncaster? Let's hope they only fine us.

Our case differs to yours due to the fact our dual player earns less then 20k a year. Whilst yours and Doncaster's are paid over the 20k mark.

Does the fact Donny didn't win their game make a difference regard them losing points ?

Yet again the governing body makes a cock up introduce dualreg then put all reponsibilty on the clubs . Why should clubs be held accountable for this . They run the game and then pass the buck to the clubs who are part time to make sure they have followed correct procedure . Then penilise the clubs for not doing the job they should be doing correctly

Are you for real, the Blame lies solely with your board and your coach. If they want to play the duel reg game then read the bloody rules first!!. Fax fielding in eligible player in the challenge cup got us kicked out and you went through automatically. Martin Hall resigned because of it.

Does anyone know who complained in the first place?.

Sheffield ( allegedly ) may have their own problems with a loanee not having a valid work permit (allegedly).

It shouldn't. They played him hoping that he'd enable them to win and they didn't so for me they should lose an additional 3!

I think that they make the gross assumption that clubs operating in a professional sport will have a professional administration.

Clearly they were wrong, so it's all the RFL's fault.

I know the RFL have to give 7 days notice prior to a tribunal hearing but might it not be better for Batley/Doncaster to waive that right in order to get the hearing to take place asap?

I would think that it would benefit both clubs to know what (if any) penalty is going to be imposed sooner rather than later?

(assuming that the clubs dont need the time to build a defence)

Oh I'm sure Kevin will be building a defence! He can make a stamp stick back-to-front that guy and we'll probably come out of it with three extra points for the inconvenience

They have been cleared of that by the RFL - it was in League Express
