If I am not mistaken we actually have a match this weekend, despite all of the other issue that are keeping us so excited. I believe that we should win this one comfortably but whether we will is always a different matter. Notwithstanding my forecast is:

Rams 42 - 22 Hornets

1st Rams try scorer - Grady

Att: 645

Whilst these low attendances should theoretically increase my chances of winning the HT draw i predict that the outcome of this will be as disappointing as ever for me.

We cannot afford to drop points and we must watch Sheffield's progress as they have a game in hand against Sunday's opponents (and also yet to play them away) so could overtake us if they win their games. I do hope we have a team in show on Sunday wanting to entertain.

Dewsbury 44-18 Rochdale.

First try scorer: Thackeray.

Att: 638.

The weather is supposed to be terrible, wind and bad rain. This will probably be a game leveller.

On a day with decent conditions I would expect a win by 20 points, but I feel it will be close.

For an hour it was a close game today. Rochdale have often given us a real game over the years. The win was essential and we edge ever nearer to safety. Some good performances in attack at times. A slightly healthier crowd as well (773)

It's not often I make a game these days but I really enjoyed it. It's a shame my kids can't make it beyond a fruit shoot and a hot dog!

I think the Rams played a little on edge, bombing a few opportunities. I thought Rochdale were a bit disinterested in parts. I thought the ref dug himself into a hole with the Rochdale knock-on try. Their winger clearly happy to admit so.

Otherwise, really good entertainment. I'm a bit at a loss as to why the Rams don't attract more interest. I've been going on and off for over 40 years and these days I believe the club is more professional than ever, the pitch is a bowling green and the players more athletic and professional. The ground is a peach and clearly going to be a tidy set up when finished. I also think £13 in and £2 for kids and £2.90 for a beer top value.

Shame I have a 160 mile commute...

Thought the crowd was poor yesterday, looked more v barrow. Dissapointing how despite the improvements on and off the field, people of dewsbury are not giving the club more backing. Should be getting gates of over 1,000 at worst but likes already been said, we ain't doing enough to get into the publics faces. We need to be ramming that message to the dewsbury public about our team! getting into the schools town centre and rugby clubs dishing out free junior tickets.

Thought wright, Pryce and Austin had good games today, but Tommy's introduction was the turning point. We know we'll get 2 x 20 minute spells if needed out of him, and if we have the ball during that time he'll make chances. The way Grady and Gallagher run off Thackery has scored us so many tries this year. If a couple if the others followed suit we'd be laughing.
