Absolutely loved watching Jo Pavey winning the 10,000 metres gold medal at the European Athletics Championships just now. The oldest gold-winner in the event's history, a quality athlete and the best inadvertent Pam Ayres impersonator in professional sport!!

Such absolute and total determination.  If I were her I'd be thinking about that being my last race - I don't see how it can be topped.

Just brilliant.

She's entered for the 5,000 metres later this week. She can't do the double... can she?

No, she can't.  That's the point.

Really, she can't.
