Carl Forber for best player and most improved, though best player is tight between Carl, Brett Phillips and Matty for me.

Liam McAvoy as young player by a mile.

Tierney away to Keighley they say was a cracker , but I can only go on what I saw which yes minimises the parameters , and one that just sticks on my mind was Manfredi's against Halifax. I think it just oozed class we've rarely seen , when he tiptoed down the touch line and stepped the fullback - and those guys were Tommy Saxton and so called best fullback Ryan Fieldhouse . But that's just in my mind , many more no doubt . Not scientific !!

He's not here , but Big Red scoring the winning try against Fev , still a totally unbelievable win thinking about it , which started the momentum , was some special feeling . More the general picture with that one ... Just as well , we'd have to find him first , to give it to him !!!!!

What about Callum Phillips try against Keighley at home when he went from one side of the pitch to the other corner to score.  (I think it was the Keighley game, wasn't it?)

I remember when .............................

"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimension, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave Hadfield - Independent 25th August 1996.
