Agree a must win sunday.maybe big bren needs a break, looking at the 19,we have good side out and home advantage has to be a bonus,if we play anywhere near how we played at fax,i think we will do ok .On what I saw of Charlie martin at fax,you could tell he had not played league for a long while, think he will come good at some stage.CMON YOU HUNS.

Agoro is out injured with torn knee ligaments. Brad been great with ball in hand when he's come on and made some big hits but watch the highlights against Hallifax and him struggling to get back in the defensive line when they score at will, maybe why he's been rested. I hope the break does him good and he's back firing for Dewsbury next week, because I rate him.

I think we will have enough to beat Whitehaven, Brown and Kain should control the game and with Yates and Haley back in to boost the forwards we should be able to make a good platform for the halfs and outside backs to cause then some problems. Hunslet by 20.

Cmon the Huns!

Funny old game, eh? After three sterling performances all end in defeat, we turn out probably our worst display of the season and pick up the two points! Not a lot to get excited about yesterday really, though a couple of tries were amongst the best seen so far at South Leeds this season; Whitehaven's opener, and Watson's touchdown in the middle of that second half purple patch that swept us into an eight point lead, that to be honest Whitehaven never looked like clawing back.

A few individual performances worth a mention: Haley looked particularly fired up both in attack and defence, Keinhorst had probably his best game since returning and surely Mvududu's claims on the other centre spot are quickly becoming irrefutable. Good to see Lee finally score one of those tries he so often scored against us in his York days. A word to for Mackay too, who's been in excellent form in recent weeks and continued it yesterday.

An essential two points picked up then, but I think we can safely say that a performance of a similar nature will not be sufficient when Dewsbury come to town in the Cup next week.

We made hard work of it, but in the end were worthy winners, if we had controlled the ball better we would have won by more points. Dissapointing to play in that kind of weather again at home, looking forward to see how we do on a good day and a dry pitch.

Haley and Brennan laid the patform, Watson was superb once again as was Mackay, agree its time to give Mvududu a run at centre. Also a big shout for Arron Lyons who has doen some great work over the last couple of weeks.

Would have liked to have seen more from Kain.

Great to have the scananavians supporting us once again, there a great bunch and always add to the atmosphere.

All in all a good 2 points, looking forward to Dewsbury next week.

I think the spark needs to come from our number 6 ie Kain, when he looks dangerous we look dangerous but he was really quiet again yesterday. One thing we have this year is a kicking game, Brown worth his weight in gold for his kicks in general play not forgetting his goal kicking.

agree totally about Brown , his downfield kicks put the oppos full bk under so much pressure the only thing lacking so far is a couple of 40/20,s but im sure that will come from him, Andy Kain needs a dry fast track but playing down there in that wind tunnel where it rains everytime we play at home is nigh on impossible, the weather virtually kills every home game, I wouldn't care it hardly rains the rest of the week but come sunday it pours down. Thought at 10-18 against the wind we were gone yday , but Muffys juggling act got us back in the game and Wattos try was a beauty, with 2 acting half backs as good as Jack Lee and George Flanagan we are always likely to score close in and yday was no exception. When Jessie Joe limped off that was the end of Haven but fair play to them their 1st try was a belter when Parker and Calvert split us and Brad Hepi,s son looks a strong kid. Worky away next league game is another 4 pointer.

Weather on Sunday as absolutely awful and thus not suited for open rugby. My fears were that it would become a total lottery. In the event, although our kicking game was good, I thought we played far too much in our own half with the wind at our backs. We really don't try enough 40 - 20s to give ourselves room on the outside if and when their wingers dropping back. I would have like to see one or two deep kicks by Brown straight from a scrum in side our 40. However Whitehaven were equally guilty in the second half. All in all I thought we were worthy winners. Whilst the disallowed 1st try in the  corner looked 50 - 50, from the stand Keinhorst try looked like he got it down. For me Watson, Haley & Keinhorst looked the pick of the bunch, although no one let us down. The interchange between Lee & Flanagan works well, but I still wish we had the explosive pace and elusive running of Hoody from dummy half. Big Brad Brennan looks good on attack near the line, but in defence after a few carries looks vulnerable in that the opposition can easily evade him. For me I would prefer to have Keinhost at centre with Maun @ 2nd row rather than the other way round. Summing up 6 point from 9 games is OK. Anything league position above 11th & 12th Going into the 8s league divide would be good.
