l am greatly amused by Will's references to us and our club as 'you!' The hurt still lingers.

However, his judgement of the game could be accurate unless we sort out a decent game plan. (Sorry about the modern parlance, what l mean is, we really need to play well this afternoon!)

Please please don't side track the issue I was raising so small minded even the chairman as picked up on some posters tut tut ,so okay with the squad you gave been dealt with and see where the season goes

Just a bit of light relief at a challenging time. For what it's worth, l agreed with you about the match. l cannot see Sammut being brought in as he seems to be in demand at a number of other clubs, namely Wakefield and London.

Oh and in addition as you brought it up, l believe KN was wrong, his issue was with passionate supporters expressing concern  - which seems entirely acceptable to me.

See you at the Mount later?

Yer mate been a fan all my life home and away when I was younger, alt park on a Saturday afternoon when coach cox had to name himself on the bench rainy night in wakefield to watch a captain Morgan game warrington away to see parry gordon murder us so no strainger to the batley scene but to ask for advice and get lambasted like I did I'd rather watch from afar and by the way could of given the club a bit of sponsorship through the company I work for bur never mind

Well, as you said, l would not want to derail the thread so won't, and am sorry you feel lambasted, l have my own thoughts on all of that, but not for here.

As for watching from afar, do you get a decent view from Hanging Heaton? -Just a joke by the way!

If a club is really towing to get a certain position sorted ,how long do you think it would take to sort the problem I recon it would take a week max ,to start talk to contacts ,scouts have batley got any ? And the last opption players managers not rocket unless the coach is ok with what is got

Sammut is a big friend of Latu Fifita at Workington and he was going to come on loan to Town until London stepped in and got him on DR from Wakefield.    Sammut had been to two of Town's games to meet up with Fifita and was all set for the move.    I would think if he isn't wanted at Wakefield his next club will be Workington.

I remember when .............................

"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimension, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave Hadfield - Independent 25th August 1996.
