There were a lot of Wiganers went to a lot of trouble to give Catans a big crowd - what's your problem?

Chill out, dude, just a joke. Haven't you got enough pie? (That's another one).

The game is just about love.

Here's what I reckon...

1) you can't have it both ways - I want Cats to do well in front of big crowds and games like today are great for them as a club. Bravo;

2) Catalans have gone down a different route from us - with Dureau, Henderson and the sublime Carney they have wonderful players capable of shaping any game and playing any conditions. If I was in 4th or 5th I would be looking over my shoulder in a concerned manner;

3) for us, it is right to stick with young. British players. So Williams and Powell were taught a lesson by Carney? It's a price worth paying if they develop into great players. They may not, but rather than run off to the NRL I will accept the odd off day;

4) we have been competitive against Leeds in the past, and while I can understand their fans laughing at us tonight, I suspect we will turn up next week ready to play;

5)!how can Stevereed retain that level of rage - it's not as if any Wiganer gives Hull KR a moment's thought. Thank god they're playing a derby next week so he can turn his fury on OF;

6) great to see Escare and some other French players going well. It'd be good to see more of them, particularly 10 years in, but the good ones are getting better. Maybe Toulouse will be thrashing us this time in a few years - you have to dare to dream;

7) as for Wane, he has done so much for the development of young English players as to deserve far more than the contempt heaped upon him. He is a decent man who loves our game. If he does keep his job, next year he' have Sam back to add inspiration to the structure;

8) not a good day for us, but a good one for the game and we'll have better days.

No doubt they had a great time, we always do win or lose. The match comes round too quick even if you arrive on Thursday and it seems so depressing come Sunday lunchtime.

Pity most of them couldnt make it to Leigh last week, probably too expensive with a trip to France to fund. If only they had known Wembley was off the agenda and even Old Trafford looking a bit iffy.

I am sorry but maybe it's lost in translation but a lot of Wiganers spent a lot of money and went to a lot of trouble to boost Catalans' crowd - why take a dig?

Sorry - why do you feel compelled to slag off our support? Haven't you got someone else to hate at the moment?

To be a little bit more serious about Wiganers, they have nothing to be ashamed for. Every team got a trashing someday somewhere. Leeds got defeated 68 - 14 by Wigan in 1996.

It happens. There's a lot worse than to be 3rd on the table.

I wonder how many sides could cope with Carney, Dureau, Taia and Escaré firing at the same game  (remember when Dureau fired up the whole team, tonight half the team was firing hard).

There was a lot of Wigan fans and they made a good bit of noise at the start of the game and at each Wigan's try. Nothing to feel bad about, they went great.

will you still be in denial when we are trophy less again at the end of the season ?

Guys most of the teams in the comp are trophy less at the end of a season... Us (cats), Wakefield, Widnes and Salford would die for a trophy. Going trophy less is not "that" bad. You're popping youngsters out like it's easy and even in so called trophyless season you'll be good enough to make everyone sweat their shirts.

2. as you are in 3rd I would start looking over your shoulder...bit complacent are you not?

3. its not as if Wigan havent pulled in NRL players over the years,often after English teams have brought them over.

5. Dead easy. Doubt any Wigganer gives any thought to us junior sides,thats how arrogant they are. Not a Derby the Derby!

7. Not convinced WANE has done a lot for youth development but the contempt he receives has a lot to do with his comments to the press.

I don't give a $h!tt if we have a trophy at the end of the season. The season isn't about winning a pot, its about have I been entertained, have I seen players give their best (even if it isn't good enough to win a trophy), the tin pot is the cream, I'm happy to have the cake, the cream can be an extra.

Players giving there best we've been flogged by Catalans & Cas,have the 2nd worse away record in the league,glad your happy with mediocrity.

Stats are out.

Tony Gigot : 11 tackles bust in 11 carries(holy ######), 3 tries, 3 clean breaks ,17 tackles. Talk about a debut. 11 tackles bust is something I haven't seen much.

George Williams : 6 TB, 1 clean break. Not that bad.

Remi Casty : 5 TB (12 carries), 94m, 1 clean, 15 tackles

Bateman : 31 tackles.

3rd in league, wow recruitment below must be truely awful

They will need to pick up some more points on the road if they want to stay in the top 4 with only 3 out of the last 8 games before the split at the DW.

As for Shaun Wane, why even mention the referee after a 58 point pasting?

Great crowd atmosphere, Wigan bring some much to sport. It was just one of those games cam happen.

Gigot finally found a spot, yaha looks Impressive . my worry pelissier played 10 minutes thus bloke is imo world class he must sign elsewhere let's hope not rugby in france.

I'm very surprised at both the stats for Bateman and Wiliams. I'm shocked any Wigan player made 31 tackles!!

Dave you talk as though it is a "given" that Wigan must win a trophy, Padge is correct go and watch your team and get enjoyment from it.

I agree that along with Saints, Leeds and Wire with the resources you can call on it does give those clubs an head start in the pot collecting market each season but you have not been awarded a free pass to all the finals, get over it and get behind your team, like thousands of others do at the clubs of those who just make up the numbers.

He hardly had much of a moan did he? A small aside amidst gracious acknowledgement of a Cats complete superiority. It wasn't Wane that was fined last week for abusing referees.

As for away form, we shall see. Last year we lost pretty much all of the equivalent fixtures we have already played, and won most of the ones we have left. Plus, Cats benefited from having rested their key players last week. We will be playing teams with the Cup and Wembley on their minds and get plenty of rest, which is no bad thing.

I was pleased to read that. My aunt and uncle save up all year for that trip, and they always enjoy themselves immensely. I doubt they'll have enjoyed themselves quite so much this year though, sadly, but supporting Wigan is hardly a hardship posting most of the time.

Yeah I wasn't going to point out a negative as the win was fantastic, but it's a real worry how little game time Pelissier is getting. I can't see him staying around much longer and then we'll be left with 32 year old Ian Henderson and Joan Guasch.

I'd see Bouzinac, Kriouache or anybody above Guasch.
