When you look at it Keith next week is a huge game for us . That gives a big buffer and may mean we only need to win one or two

Yes, and the higher up the final table after the Super 8's the more cash you pick up so a good finish there could add maybe £25k - £30k extra to the clubs coffers.

I remember when .............................

"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimension, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave Hadfield - Independent 25th August 1996.

think it's only the top 6 who get the coin Keith then the rest get about 150k think 6th get around 300k then there's a big gap

good effort and goodto see horton improving with every game as all the town squad would do if given enough game time , i would say that london were the poorest full time squad ive seen to date but that doesnt take away the effort and 80 mins commitment from the town lads , it will be fine without dr in the 8's theres more than enough cover in the backs and the forwards are playing well .

just seemed like we carried on from last week , totally dominant in attack and defence , final score flattered london , now have to take it to hunslet another 2 points , and like keith said open up a good gap on them . UP THE TOWN  .....nice kick from carl forber for lewis try , maybe sammuts presence is rubbing off .

It was in the RLE a couple weeks or so ago saying that 3rd and 4th would get around £450k and £400k then clubs from 5th to 12th would receive amounts from £250k down to £150k depending on final positions.   Since then I understand some clubs have asked for this to be reviewed and the latest figures bandied about are 5th and 6th get £200k; 7th and 8th get £175k; 9th and 10th get £150k and 11th and 12th get £125k.   No doubt the RFL will announce the amounts before the season ends!!!!

I fhink Olstum was named in the squad be cause one of the other lads had a niggle, and would have played if the lad had failed a test Saturday morning, but as usual some wont to make something of it?????

I like the way phils swooping the team about during games now, when forber comes on and doran goes to hooker really works well.I thought doran really went well at hooker today and maybe that is his position..

The 22 games includes the Backpool weekender Ian.   There is another 7 games to play after next weekends games in what the RFL calls the Super 8's and the points from them games are added to what teams have already.   Our Super 8 teams are from 5th down to 12th in the Championship after 23 games.    The top 4 in our Super 8 will go on to play the bottom 4 from SL

Well played all today, from the first five minutes of todays match you could sense a more confident Town team and commitment from every  Town player in the tackle, Town never looked like losing this game.

I would love us to sign Lewis up, the lad is a jack in the box always looking for work and a real handful for defenders, pleased Kurt had his best game in a Town top , maybe shut a few up now !!

Thornley ran hard, I can see SW calling him back very soon, Brett P had a massive game but Jam Sandwich for me has given this team so much confidence and believe in themselves that we should come away with the points next week. Well done all

Above the greatest team in rugby league again !! really pleased the Rams gave them it today, wanting a man deported, how low can you go

I was excited about JS coming to us but I've been surprised by his commitment to the cause. I would imagine he's pleased to be playing regular rugby and how could you not be infected by his enthusiasm?

I've watched some rubbish this year but we're back !
