If memory serves, Hull FC were beating Swinton 31-0 once and managed to lose 31-32. My good mate Ullman will no doubt either confirm or correct this. Hello Old Frightful, as a Swinton fan sorry to intrude on private grief, but I think I remember this match at the Boulevard in the 80's. I think the comeback was in the high twenty points rather than 31-32, but may be wrong. I seem to recall it was one of Tommy Frodsham's trademark interceptions which won the match. I think the match cost Len Casey his job as coach. I replied to this post on the General board and wondered if other Swinton fans remember this great fightback at Hull, and if my recollections are correct ? LOYALION
I was there for one. It was a time of wonderment and I think it was also the debut game for super speedster Scott Ranson! wayne_r
I remember Swinton winning at Hull in the mid seventies when I think both teams were in the 2nd division and my favourite player (then and now) Kevin Whittle switched to hooker and dominated the scrums - you know those things that used to be competitive, but also Kevin almost single handed overcame the Hull pack. ChrisCondron
I *think* the Hull game was 28-6 at half time, 28-32 at full. I was there, but the memory isn't what it was. And yeh, a Frod special :-)

And yeh, a Frod special :-) You're bang on there with the score-line mate! We were behind the sticks when Tommy grabbed that "inter" and touched down! We didn't win many that season, but this game was the tops! Spelly. "--- and then on the eighth day, God created Rugby League."Daily, my intense dislike of the Pinks, Rugby Yawnion, Manchester United, and far-right politics, grows ever larger, and will continue to do so forever more!Question! What's the connection between Rugby League and Rugby Yawnion? Answer! There isn't one!My girl-friend asked "If you had to choose between me and Swinton who would it be?" I replied "You know the answer to that one without even asking!"
