A year too late like, going to take a lot of work by the club to repair the damage done with the shambolic 2015 I'm afraid, it was barely registering in the imagination of the York public before so it'll take some real work and a professional attitude to put right the wrongs. Proper die-hard fans have given up on the club, some will never be back due to the events that unfolded. Tragic for a club of York's size that, but there's only one person to blame.

Lets hope a certain person behaves himself on social media, keeps out of trouble in Indian restaurants, keeps his mouth shut in general and does the right things for the club then, just maybe, York can have a RL club to be proud of.

I just wish we could get a fresh start that the club desperately needs and see where that takes us.

Don't want to lose any ''proper die-hard'' or otherwise fans, but the majority have stood by the club and they will be supplemented by all those people who wanted RL back in the city centre

2005 Top of the league - Crowds were averaging 1800 odd

2014 Top of the League - Crowds were averaging 700 odd

2015 Won nowt, homeless, owner acts like a child with ADHD who's eaten too many Haribo - Crowds averaging about 300

Naff all sponsors and most people who like RL now go watch Leeds or Cas. Even local amateur clubs take their kids to Headingley or Wakefield. Brilliant!

"The majority have stood by the club" Lol @ Col

500 plus at Heworth in the 'shambolic 2015' - would have been 600/650 at HS, will be 700/750 at BC

Generally you 2 - move on or don't bother whining on here

I'll do and say what I like Col, you ain't the YCK police. Also, you aren't able to say who should post on here, that's not up to you I'm afraid.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, whether you agree with it or not.

You disagreeing with the term "shambolic" proves you just won't have a bad word said about your beloved, even though it's obvious to everyone that it's true.

Thought you had walked away? Not interested? Never again? - so why worry about it?

So that's appx. 1100 supporters down on the crowds of 2005? All must be well at the Knights. I agree with the Halls, something needs to be done to entice those lost supporters back, of which I am one. I live within a 5 minute walk of Bootham Crescent but still undecided wether I'll spend my time and money on watching the Knights. #sadtimes

Never said I'm not interested, I couldn't be more interested in RL in York getting a better future, hence me doing my bit at kids amateur level.

I just want the pro club to have as good a chance as it can have, the last 10 years have shown clearly that it's been held back for one reason or another.

You're choice & hope you keep going

Most club's crowds are down since 2005 with recession's etc - we are no different to most clubs

Hopefully we are trying - and hopefully other clubs in the Championship are trying to increase their crowds which won't be much more than ours in 2016

I think me and my 8yo son will be going to Heworth next season instead. I can't run the risk of having him see his Dad come under a tirade of abuse and insults from a drunken loon like he had to witness happen to his Grandad and uncle at Clifton Park.

Still, he's got a lasting memory of watching YCK, all I can remember from being a young kid is that tackle by Graham Sullivan against Halifax and the 4500 crowd.
