My thoughts too. I'd like to see it trialed at some level. Just curious to see it.

So how is a charge down not a deliberate knock on? If anything it is a far mor deliberate knock on than an attempted interception as there is practically no chance of catching it. Not criticising your point just confused as to why a ball ricocheting of a players arms from him running at a kicker is play on rather than a knock on.

I'd like to see a trial of allowing a defender to knock on if trying to intercept a pass.

it's nearly as high as the big "super" rugby derby played at a much better time of day.

I wonder what sort of coverage this has got in the Aussie media?

I saw it mentioned on one of foxtel's rugby league shows. they said they wanted to get him on.

Were the Port Moresby Vipers pro when they played in the Queensland cup?

RL only started in Tonga, Samoa and Fiji in 1988.  Lebanon RLF was founded in Sydney in 2000 and has run an 8-10 team comp in Lebanon since 2002. The biggest sponsor of the Leb RL is Dyldam, a construction company based in Parramatta. The first USA RL was started in 1997 by David Niu, also an Australian. I believe the untied US comp now has 14 teams.

In the last 2 years we have seen games played by Vanuatu, Phillipines and Thailand. The Filipino team has competed in the last few Cabramatta 9s tournaments in Sydney.

Serbia has 1,000 registered players. Doesn't sound much but, before the Kiwis won the WC in 2008, NZ only had 24,000 registered players. The breakaway Italian RL group runs coaching clinics in Ghana.

PNG Hunters, their first pro team, joined the Qld Cup last year. Fiji will join the NSW Cup next year.

It's not how I would pursue expansion but it is happening.
