  1. add to it the cup draws we have had too. No offence to York but them at home is probably the worst SL team we could have drawn in the Challenge Cup in terms of away support. London away in the other cup too. But as long as SL are looked after its alright.
  2. The worst outcome we could have got. The best team in the league and it being in London makes it a financial nightmare. Even if the gate is halved it wont be close to covering the travel costs
  3. As soon as the RFL appointed Wood back at the top, Bradford were guaranteed a spot in SL. I’m certain too that if it was Bradford in Fevs position now then the RFL would be doing things different. In regards the funding Fev would have been allocated, it should be spilt between the other teams. I’m not sure the ‘some level of compensation’ will get even close to what we would have taken form a home game with Fev. The crowd, Sponsorship, bar and food, raffle, hospitality are all things which the club rely on. Plus other things I’ve likely to have missed. Even one game being off could have a huge impact. I feel really sorry for Fev but at the same time I think that could have been us if not for the hard work of the chairman and the board. Don’t get me wrong clubs are to blame for overspending etc. but the way the RFL have treated teams outside of SL is a disgrace. The way we were kept in the dark regarding what league structures would look like says it all.
  4. Shame for a team that’s well supported and had fans that travel. Also a shame for all the clubs who were scheduled to play them such as ourselves. I wonder where that leaves us as the league won’t work with teams playing 2 games less than others. Plus the financial impact of losing a home fixture. I don’t see the logic with the RFL as they allowed Salford to continue last season and surely this season the championship would have been better with a weaker Fev side still being in the league and having a full fixture list in an already bizarre league structure.
  5. I would keep Costello. He’s versatility has probably stopped us seeing the best of him consistently. Obviously the injuries have not helped too. greenwood has had his moments, not massively convinced by him though.
  6. End of a long season. lots of hard work done early in the season to keep us away from the bottom, not that it matters anymore after Woods plan to get Bradford into SL ruining the lower leagues
  7. RL is so bent and corrupt it’s beyond belief. All that will come from these plans will be the death of more clubs.
  8. There is one certainty here and that is that Wood will ensure Bradford are back in SL.
  9. Best game I've seen for a long time. The first try we scored was superb, cant wait to see the video of that. When Bradford scored the try to put them in front, Johno was getting dogs abuse from their fans, for us to then go to the other end and score, what a feeling it must have been for him. I'm sure he might have gave them a wave or two at the end! Bradford always seem to bring the best out of us and yesterday didnt disappoint. Big shout out to the bloke on he popular side who took a full load of seagull splatter right on his forehead, brought us the luck to see the game through!
  10. Awful today. blame the referee all you want but he doesn’t miss tackles, drop balls or make massively forward passes. We really got exposed in the back row defensively, hopefully we get players back from injury sooner rather than later.
  11. I think the wind didn’t help the kickers. Hall only slotted one of his kicks and he’s been constantly one of the best kickers about for a long time. king was brilliant and they did try to cheaply do a job on him. The one in the first half where their number 10 flew round was shockingly cheap and the referee definitely seen it, total bottle job from him. it went on report, he should get banned for it but it doesn’t benefit us. I watch NRL and SL and people are being carded for very soft things and at our level it’s not. Huge lack of consistency across the leagues
  12. Brilliant yesterday. All the comments about our defence are bang on. Can’t remember a bigger effort for a long time. Ritson looked like he was loving it out there too so hopefully we won’t have seen the last of him.
  13. Wonder if we are as well to try sign someone like Joe Bullock permanently, he's likely to be a squad player so they might see it as a result to get him off the books. But then can we afford someone like him.
  14. Guess Halifax have sorted their finances out but I feel its wrong Halifax being allowed to make a load of signings considering their financial position last season. This is where the RFL need to be involved to stop another Whitehaven situation happening.
  15. Give over. he’s not a natural half but has done enough to keep us up. let’s see how we go in the off l season with new signings and he might end up back in the pack.
