#3257577 Cancelation of sky

I only watch RL on Sky sports and I dont follow a super league team so it's going. Any one else think the same.

McMahon was a very popular candidate apparently although in some northern towns a goat could be the Labour candidate and they would still win! I don't think a Labour win was ever in any doubt.

A goat? Pray tell what would win in the Tory heartlands. An Eaton fop haried idiot who knocks Japanese kids over. I'd votefor a goat any day.

#3234336 Not a single try scored by an Engalnd back in 3 games.

Are we too forward minded. I'm reminded of what happened in the last 4 nations

Please please give it some air. We need a good open game

#3229624 One of worst international games i can remeber

I put out a topic a few weeks ago saying that this eng team is the best in living memory. How wrong I was.

No skill no idea no adventure no breaks. Half backs utterly clueless.

We might as well have played another pack of forwards in the backs. I think it took over 30mins before kallum watkins touched the ball. I nearly turned it off and went to Watch some paint dry.

I will never call any other sport boring again.

Could not agree more. Watch the game!

#3119370 General Election 2015 - Poll & Discussion Thread

Posted by Roughyhead true on 08 May 2015 - 06:04 PM

Relax, Phil, she'll be ok. She'll be going to a university that is better funded than ever befor, with more students than ever before, from a wider social mix than ever before, and no ffes to pay up front, and without having to pay a penny in fees until she had graduated and got a job paying more than £25k a year. However, her chances of getting a job have steadily increased as unemployment has fallen and the economy has grown.

The rest is just guesswork fuelled by Labour poison. Fear not for the Health Sevice either, for despite the wishes of those on the left to see it fail so they can say "I told you so." the budget is on the increase.

Regarding employment law, the excesses of zero hours contracts have been eliminated, though now that
Labour has been decisivly rejected by the electorate, Labour MPs and Labour councils will now continue to use zero hours contracts.

Finally, the election result is in part because so many decided not to believe Miliband and his unworkable solutions to problems that don't exist.

Correct me if I'm wrong

Never worked on zero hour contracts
Already own your house if not more than one.
Didnt pay for higher education
Don't know what the bedroom tax is
Not much interaction with NHS recently
Already in well paid job. Possibly high tax payer.

The NHS is falling apart worse than it did in the 80's and 90's

I remember black Wednesday and 15% interest rates.

#3082957 State of the Game?

Posted by Roughyhead true on 04 March 2015 - 10:32 PM

Doomed we are all doomed. Nothing more sums up This forum then the two threads on the cross code forum. One says RU is in trouble as its a rigid game and has lost all flair. Tell that to the 8 million that watched Eng v Wales.

Then we have this. The question I would like to ask is where would we be without summer rugby. I dont know. I do know that winter rugby at shedding was bloody cold.

Lot of whining and complaining on this forum. I though feel lucky and privileged to watch and enjoy our great game.So many people I know arent even football fans they are fans of a club and normally never go and actually watch them.

#3044299 UKIPpery

Posted by Roughyhead true on 12 December 2014 - 10:10 PM

Very simple.UKIP is a party of blame. Its not your fault it's not our fault it's their fault. Doesn't matter who "they" are. No party apart from the greens are saying to people "take responsibility".

One other point you don't get a choice where your born. If at one time you had an empire that covered a 3rd of the world's land mass and also force those people to fight in your European slaughter house. Then what can you really expect.

#3030338 Can we take any more disappointment?

Im betting your not an Oldham fan ad well. The oldham list is too long to write.

#3027332 MacNamara supping in the Last Chance Saloon

Posted by Roughyhead true on 04 November 2014 - 10:47 PM

Each to their own I guess, never rated him and hasn't had success in SL. If we're happy to have a part time England coach now, then I'd like Powell or Wane to get the job after the 4 Nations.

Yep i agree. I also believe we have had a much better team than in previous years. Not that long ago we had lee smith at centre for England. I wonder what tony smith would do with the current side.

#3027287 08/11/14 - New Zealand v England KO 7am GMT (Dunedin)

Posted by Roughyhead true on 04 November 2014 - 09:08 PM

Smiths kicking has been superb how many times over years have howled in despair when yet another kick drops into the arms of the slater

#3025548 02/11/14 - Australia v England KO 5am (GMT)

Posted by Roughyhead true on 02 November 2014 - 01:22 PM

Stop blaming refs. We had a chance to win and blew it. They were for the taking and again we couldnt finish it off. One of the reasons why i cant stand football is when managers blame officals rather than their own players. " the ref was awful that was a definite pen" rather than "our striker missed ten chances today" the main point of the game for me was when Burgess dropped the ball after the 2nd tackle and when burgess passed when he was 5 ft from the line.

#3007443 05/10/14 - Oldham v Hunslet Hawks KO 4.05pm (TV)

Oldham are a sleeping giant. It pains me to see villages like Castleford in super league. If we win this who knows where we might be in 5 years.
