Just read on Wigan's website that Rob Lever has been included in the 19 man squad for their game at Wakefield after playing well in their Academy.
I think we should be targeting Wigan's Academy for players!
Lever got in the side in front of him? Don't make me laugh. If that's the best rumour you can make up you need to think harder. I'm sure everyone is behind a Karl Olstrom who's committed to the cause it's just we haven't seen much of it this season.
From what I've seen Olstrum is a good player and contributes well when he plays. Looking at the beginning of the season Lever played in the first five games in which we won three and he played off the bench for Olstrum. If you look at both who have high tackle counts and work hard in attack then maybe it's these types of players we're missing. Just a thought!
OLoughlin , Farrell , Flower , Pettybourne in the frame for Wigan and more back next week . It's just Sod's law that it's in such games that it may not matter anyway . Bad luck that they weren't there when they could really have won us games. We haven't a break with DR so far . Wigan we're healthy last year !
I think it must be difficult for the Wigan lads to come up to training on a Thursday and then play on the Sunday and expect them to have their best games. It's a different team, moves and players they're trying to gel with and no matter how good they are at Wigan it cant be easy for them.
In the first five games we had Tierney, Lever and Murphy and won 3 out of 5 games and thats with two different coaches. I think a quality 6 or 7 is needed who can control a game. We cant keep blaming Wigan.
Why did we go with only 3 subs at the weekend?
We had 4 Wigan players and could of used another. Looking at Wigan academy they didn't have a game and we've used and won in 3 games with Lever this year and there's Sutton and Austin in the first team squad who we could if used.
Strange decision by Vievers.
