  1. Toulouse 2018 thread

Good player but if he’s been causing no end of trouble for a few years then Toulouse are best getting shot of him. Like the saying goes “no one individual is bigger than the team.”
  2. Toulouse 2018 thread

That’s strange regarding minga. I would have said he’s one of Toulouse’s main threats???
  3. New York, Boston and Hamilton in 2019

I also love towns like these. As a kid growing up in the 80’s in my hometown we didn’t have a steel mill but we had a coal mine and huge chemical factory literally on my doorstep worked by good honest hard as nails people. These steel mill towns also remind me of my favourite film “the deer hunter.”
  4. winter league

Even Nigel wood would shake his head at this idea.
  5. New York, Boston and Hamilton in 2019

Exactly. A solid business plan and structure must always trump the bright lights and skyscrapers of a world renowned city like New York, Montreal or Chicago etc. The head must rule over the heart but if a New York or Montreal has the financial backing and stadium sealed then it’s a no-brainer.
  6. Scottish Football= a question

It’s quite similar to the problems facing RL with North American expansion sides in that would the 92 professional English and Welsh sides allow them into their league structure never mind the premier league. Plus would Celtic and rangers entertain the idea of having to start outside the premier league.
  7. Scottish Football= a question

Because of the global name recognition and brand name of the EPL. Investors from all over the world from the US, China, Russia and the gulf etc are climbing over each other to buy a premier league club. The SPL just doesn’t have the same pull and glamour. Ive heard it being said for nearly 2 decades that both Celtic and Rangers before they went bust must for their own sake and that of Scottish football must join the english&welsh league structure but year after year nothing happens and Celtic keep dominating.
  8. New York, Boston and Hamilton in 2019

Or under chairman mo it would have been the Calder tiger-cats rovers.
  9. 2018 prospects

Widnes have 3-4 good young prospects coming through. Are they still in partnership with the Cumbrian academy??
  10. New York, Boston and Hamilton in 2019

    Calder tiger-cats😉
  11. New York, Boston and Hamilton in 2019

Maybe the Hamilton bid is more solid in terms of financial backers and stadium. Possible partnership with Canadian football team the Hamilton Tiger-Cats??
  12. New York, Boston and Hamilton in 2019

Or even expanding the player pool to new areas. Believe it or not there are decent sized towns in Yorkshire and Lancashire that are only 20-25 miles away from professional and semi-professional teams that have little to no amateur/grassroots RL at all never mind areas in the midlands and the south.
  13. 2018 prospects

Yeah, I don’t think he’ll be spending to long playing in the lower leagues.
  14. Rookies to watch in 2018

Exactly. But it’s good that the French are now producing potential halves and by the looks of things props.
  15. Rookies to watch in 2018

Looking at the current halfback options at the dragons this kid could be rushed into large spells of 1st rugby far too soon. Hopefully Albert will kick on and cement a starting position in the halves. Isn't their also an even more highly rated halfback at the dragons who played in the age group below the u19’s last year??
