  1. Went to the game and have to say it was really great to watch. Barrow are playing some of the best rugby I've seen for a long time. When they are allowed to play you can see what they are capable of! Again defence was superb, conceded only 6 points. At times it was niggly, a bit ugly and our indiscipline showed BUT it was a great win! You can see the lads are enjoying their rugby and I for one am enjoying watching them. UTR
  2. In my opinion the best side defensively and offensively won! We looked like scoring every time in your 20 And more or less did . The big test for you Is to back up that performance against Whitehaven on good Friday IMO your turning a loss into A win. It's time to move on .One swallow doesn't make a summer. But 186 points for and 24 against. We are top of the league. Enough said.
  3. Must have been watching a different game to me ! Brilliant defence brilliant attack in atrocious conditions ! 4 tries disallowed ! Coulda got 60 points ! We nilled a team that will probably beat most teams in this league . Don't say we were poor . We played some great rugby . Yes we made mistakes but come on ... The commardarie between the players was great to see ! Supporting each other and encouraging one another ! We've not seen this for a long time . As for Saturday night me and a "several people " loved it . Few pints before and after game . No hangover at work ! Spending Sunday with the family ! Roast dinner ! What's not to like ? I appreciate not everyone will like sat night games but give them a chance ! BE POSITIVE
  4. I couldn't tell if it was him as we had five different coaches. He just kept stepping in and out when they left.. He didn't really have a sustainable period of coaching. I know when he had to stand alone at Wales it didn't go too well. Didnt they finish near the bottom? Cumbria storm were getting some real hidings but hopefully he may have improved.
  5. Clark was coach and development officer at Barrow and nothing was put in place. In fact alot of locals left Barrow and signed for Workington because of him. More has been done in last two years at Barrow that was ever done under Dave Clark. Best local coach? I think not . However, I look forward to the derby game against worky.

  7. Correct Michael . Charnock on 2 year deal. Morrow and Ashall were on a 1 year deal as far as I'm aware.
  8. Liam Harrison got MOM deserved but Dallimore was close to getting my vote. Good win.Think the players panicked at times trying to do it all themselves and maybe going off the game plan. saying that 9 wins in a row makes a happy Raider. Bring on Toulouse.
  9. Couldn't make the game today . Sounded like a battlefield in the first half according to the radio with both teams being a tad scrappy. But, what a second half performance! Skolars never got a look in by the sounds of it and Mossop was outstanding! Made up for the lad after his start to the season. What a come back. What can I say about this team? They are outstanding! They have put the belief back into Barrow Raiders . We can do this! It's happening! Well done Cresta and his team. Take a bow lads . This could be your time !
  10. Great win for Barrow Raiders today. The last 4 wins have been amazing! Today the first 20 minutes were brilliant, Then the ref started to allow hands in at play the ball, lying on and the game got scruffy which let Hunslet back in. Let's not forget Hunslet had to win today and we didn't allow it! We had enough to see them off with a 44 to 26 points win against a side that was in the championship last year! And now they are in 7th place. I am going to enjoy the great win that got us into the playoffs with three games to spare! Instead of focusing on the negatives. I have enjoyed the progression of this team this season and the march up the table and long may it continue! Great stuff! Well done to all. I for one am loving it! Job done! Keep it up lads. Happy days.
  11. jcd we have three loan players from Leigh not six. Hankinson and Pitman and Harper . They apart from Eze have been with us for two years. They were Leigh reserve players when they came to Barrow not first team SL players. Bullock and Ward are Barrow Players.
  12. Daft rumours always surface somewhere along the line! Why would they bring someone like Coyle to our club when he's done such a bad job at Whitehaven ?? It makes no sense .We have Paul Crarey who in my opinion is doing a brilliant job and is the best/right man for Barrow.
  13. Hats off to the lads today, they played for each other and yes there were a few mistakes and panic set in at times but they held their own and what a finish! I bet Cresta is one happy man tonight. Well done all!
  14. The website and social media I'm led to believe are run by supporters and volunteers who have jobs and families and do their best with the spare time they have. I'm sure if you can contribute they would be glad of the help? Not having a go I'm just saying. Personally I think they are doing a great job . Take a Look on LOVE RUGBY LEAGUE in the meantime to get a league table update till they have chance to update the web.
  15. Great article in the rugby league express this week about the work being done by Cresta and his team with youth development. Great for the future of our club and for rugby league in our area. We are in good hands . Keep up the good work.
