  1. Taken from Federation Francaise XIII website. in an unusual twist for international rugby league all the matches will actually take place within the nations represented in the competition. https://www.ffr13.fr/actualite-a-la-une/euro-2018-france-galles-et-france-ecosse-a-domec-carcassonne/ Saturday 27th October 14:00 Ireland v Scotland Morton Stadium. Santry (ground with athletics track) 18:00 France v Wales Stade Albert Domec, Carcassonne Friday 2nd November 19:30 Scotland V Wales Netherdale, Galashiels Saturday 3rd November 14:00 Ireland v France Morton Stadium Saturday 10th November 18:00 France v Scotland Stade Albert Domec Sunday 11th November 15:00 Wales v Ireland, Racecourse Ground, Wrexham The two matches in Carcassonne will also feature the French Womens team who will play curtain raiser matches against England and Italy with the kick off at 14:00
  2. Wales and Scotland have had a shellacking. Effort good, but obvious lack of quality and depth to compete. Heat v PNG will have affected Wales big time although Fiji would have still taken the points. Ireland have had a real dig. Development officers & funding taken away. Whats it going to take to get these nations going? Forget heritage players, IMO we need all three to grow and compete better all round.
  3. The problem with the international game seems to be money - because the top sides pay players and they get treated better. Can we stop them being paid money for international representation by the nations, and instead set aside some of the league sponsorship money for clubs? Governing bodies could then give it to clubs for players who play internationally for any country, with a cap on the total money each club can receive to balance it out. Positives: Motivates clubs to encourage players to represent at international level as they will get extra money. Encourages clubs to sign players who will represent at international level as they will get extra money. Encourages players to play for whichever nation they are eligible for and feel most attached to, as there is no other financial reward other than their club paying them more to attract them to the club in the first place. More likely international talent will be spread evenly throughout the clubs. I don't know whether this is the finished article, but encourage everyone to constructively look at it and develop it or give other ideas to form something we might all be happy with.
  4. Bon Accord Bulls are delighted to have been awarded a £5250 grant from Awards for All Scotland to help launch the club. The grant will be used to fund equipment, kit, facilities hire, training and transport costs to kick-start Bulls first season. Bulls are offering Rugby League to youths from U12 right up to adults. The club has already been busy in the community and has Club-School Agreements in place with five local schools. On the back of this work in schools the club has organised the first ever U15 North of Scotland Schools Rugby League Tournament to be held in Aberdeen on 18th March. Level 2 coaches Cameron Brown and Ray Hall ran a successful North East Scotland League last year and will be doing the same again on a bigger scale and across more age groups in 2015 under the Bulls banner. The formation of a Bulls open age squad for 2015 is picking up pace with the fixture list filling up and the number of adults wanting to play growing steadily. Fixtures kick off in May and Bulls will be preparing in April. Interest in the club is growing and the trickle of enquiries that started late last year is gaining real momentum. Come and join our community. We want to be known as a community club that attracts people that want to enjoy the great sport of Rugby League in a family-friendly environment. We are recruiting NOW and are looking for players of all abilities from U12 upwards and volunteers to help run the club - click the Join Club Website button on our homepage, like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter @bonaccordbulls - PLAY TO ENJOY and ENJOY PLAYING!
