She has some very funny vids on YT. One about how the Earth is running out of gravity.

Statistically, gingers are 5 times more likely to become radical muslims than normal people. I should rephrase that since obviously, gingers can't become normal people. Gingers are 5 times more likely than normal people to become radical muslims.

My mate loves very hot curries, he's a bit of a 'hottest thing on the menu please' merchant. But he tried the chef's challenge last night in Akbars (the original Bradford one of course) and couldn't eat it. They even wrapped it up for him to take home and he accidentally 'forgot' it. Can't remember what it was but if he can't eat it, it's bloody hot.

A phaal?  Basically like gargling with mustard gas. And not some rare concoction they are well known.

As a kid I used to love reading the Asterix comic books.  Now at the grand old age of 45 I finally have clicked that the guy they got their "special potion" from that gave them a magic buzz was Getafix.  Get a fix...  ffs... how has it taken me the best part of 40 years to get that...

It took me a few years to get that sly little nod to the druid's main job of providing performance-enhancing drugs too.

I was working away in Northampton, I think it was. Three of us went out for a curry on the night and on the menu was their "Hottest curry in town" challenge. It was a Lamb Naga if memory serves and I took it on. About twenty minutes later and with tears streaming down my face I eventually was defeated having eaten about half of it. Shortly after giving up, the head chef of the restaurant appeared and came to our table with congratulations that I had managed to eat more of it than anybody had before.

That was scant consolation for me in the small room with more tears the following morning.

It took me a while to work out why my stuffed toy when I was little was called Deefer.

It was a dog teddy.

We were working at the Cemex plant if memory serves, although I can't recall what we were doing exactly.

Probably didn't know at the time either.

Years ago took a mate for his first ever curry, "have a phaal " I say "it's nice and mild if you're not used to curry" ☠️☠️☠️

He scoffed it straight down, "not bad, I'll try one of them hotter ones next time"

My rush hour train today is more than half empty. Even Jeremy Corbyn would be able to find a seat.

Is that because you are on it? Only kidding.

Is the correct English Less than Half Full?

I can not believe I corrected your English, while abusing it myself, Sorry.

I've just had the first steak I've actually enjoyed in a restaurant in England in 20 years.  Properly cooked to between medium-rare and medium, well rested and perfectly seasoned.  Newcastle Marriott (Metro Centre one).

The resting is the important thing; lets the meat relax and become more tender and allows the flavour to develop more fully.

I want a nice steak now.
