It bugs me when Americans say they love our British accent. There is no such thing, probably more so than any other country.

Just before J M Barrie died, the guy who wrote Peter Pan, he passed the copyright for the story to Great Ormond Street Hospital. That way, whenever someone uses that copyright, GOSH gets royalties. :)

Are there any good curry houses in Halifax these days? The meals used to be really poor compared to Bradford, but I haven't been for one in Halifax for about eight to ten years.

Yeah the standard has shot up in recent years, Bradford is still way out in front but you can get a really decent one here these days

This is why they're so keen to publish official sequels. The book is either just out of or heading out of copyright soon.

Nothing of interest happened in Devon today. Again. You read the local news sections on the BBC website and Manchester is all murder, arson and Premier League soccer, and in Devon sailors are measuring plankton.

Someone logged into my wife's Facebook account from a machine we don't now. Facebook auto-locked the account, so that wasn't a problem. The problem came when I told the wife that she must assume that that email address and password combination was compromised and to reset any passwords that matched. We use LastPass as a password manager on our machines and I assumed (silly me) that my wife was using its random generator functionality ... unfortunately not. 28 websites all sharing the same username and password combination. There's 2 hours of my time gone.

As a general rule I put aaaa.aaaaaaa@aaaaaa.co.uk at the top of my contacts list, on all my email accounts, then when anybody hacks into my contacts it goes into meltdown & gives up after a while without disturbing any of my details
