It's 2:30PM and the heavy rush hour traffic has started already outside our office.  Oh what fun I predict on my way home.

It's the peak night for amateur drinkers, those people who do their damnedest to keep up with the hardened alcoholics at their workplace.  They typically end up nearly blind drunk, groping any woman in their team by 9pm before throwing up on their boss's shoes and posting a drunken "epic party!" Facebook post that their wife will use to beat them with for the next 364 days.  They're usually the ones buying the cheap pretend German beer that's actually made in Hertfordshire and telling everyone how mad they are by drinking it.

Or the one Friday you can guarantee you won't find us professional drinkers out in town.

In the last few days of 2015, my 12th year moderating this forum, I finally understand why some well respected rugby forums enforce a rule of no criticism of moderator actions.  I still disagree with that rule but I now understand it.

I'm a forum junkie and I always prefer moderators to err on the heavy-handed side. I've checked many RL forums and this one has attracted many good, well-informed, articulate posters with a strong love for the game. Why should they have to wade through page after page of rubbish just to find a readable post?

Besides, every forum has an off-topic or Anything Else section. If people want to talk rubbish, just start a thread called, "Me talking Rubbish."

A lot of people think a forum is an anarchic collective. It isn't. It's a lounge room. I wouldn't p##s on the floor in someone's loungeroom so I wouldn't accept anyone doing the metaphorical equivalent on a forum.

To be honest I saw very few drunks. The atmos in the boozers I went to was excellent tho we did frequent a certain genre of boozer.... good ale.... and music loud enough that you could still enjoy a chat.

The last train home I expected to be a nightmare.... It wasn't.

All in all a really nice evening with some of the best colleagues I've ever worked with throughout my entire life.

Downside..... 3 hrs solid sleep but now wide awake.

Bacon is the answer.

Well I was going to mention that Chablis would not be my first choice...or second.....or third.....but I won't now. I much prefer a nice old Rioja that's had plenty of time to breathe before drinking.

I don't believe it!

John Drake and I agree on something.

http://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/news/14157750.Petition_set_up_to_save_bank_branch_in_Wibsey/

Mind you, the Labour Party guidance shows how out of touch it is with the lifestyle of most of the people in Wibsey who use the bank.

To sign the petition, which already has the support of more than 200 people, visit https://www.change.org/p/natwest-bank-stop-the-closure-of-natwest-bank-in-wibsey-bradford

To be honest, the eyes of most Wibseyites reading the T&A would glaze over the miute they saw the sequence 'https'. I reckon 80% of those that have voted online will have got a mate or a child  or grandchild to do it for them.

If the Party also placed paper petitions in the Co-op on the opposite side of the road and in the Upper George pub, it'd get 1500 signatures.

If ever there's a sign of contempt from a supplier, it's a crate of Fosters...  consider changing suppliers next year!

Fortunately my sons are coming down for Christmas and will be socialising with da yoof. I see a perfect use for the Fosters, keeping them away from my Romsey Gold.

Are they highly poisonous Ducky like every other Australian snake? Don't you possess (not personally of course) nine out of ten of the deadliest creatures on earth?
