Forum request on spoilers

6 posts in this topic

I've had a few PMs in over the last day or so asking me to "do something" about the spoiler threads we've been seeing lately.

Can you please, as a matter of courtesy, not start any threads with titles that clearly give away the result of a game that's been on telly that day? If you do want to start a thread, please mark the sub-title as "Spoilers" or similar.

Many people record the game because they've other things to do but might want to catch up on other things here first.

Thank you, in advance.

Not being funny, but if people are trying to avoid a rugby league score, you'd think they'd avoid looking at rugby forums until they've watched it. Its not difficult.

But surely if this very easy fix is implemented then it isn't an issue?

This is particularly relevant for the Aussie and SOO stuff, as many people are at work (where they like to use this forum) and still want to find out what is going on, but not about particular games.

If the solution is that people need to stay away until they have seen the game, then this board will be pretty dead at times.

its also not difficult not to put details on that give it away that day and just put spoiler in the thread subtitle..

i have come on a few times on a friday to catch up with acouple of conversations or to check up on whether people are able to play us or not but with a game from a thursday night on record and found the score out.. which is annoying, and its becuase it is the last threadto be contributed to so the higlighed thread on the front page.. while clicking on "new messages"

Fair do's. Just thought if you are trying to avoid a score, its no surprise that sometimes its posted on a title or sub-title on a rugby forum thats all.

Agree.

If you don't want to know the results of games, don't come on here looking for them.
