Sheffield

Daylight

Leigh

Daylight is rarely an issue with either Sheffield (or Shefield, as they were on the old Wilderspool scoreboard at first) or Leigh.

6-4 Leigh after 9 mins.

Typical Eagles - score first, then concede a soft try.

Usual stuff. We can't defend in our own 20.

Make that 8-6 Sheffield, kick to come.

Good try as well.

10-8 Leigh, kick to come. Nanyn will convert, I'm sure.

Again, typical Sheffield. Give away a penalty, and then a VERY soft try.

:angry2:

Sheffield level the scores with a bizarre try for Menzie Yere. A bit fortunate, perhaps, but IMHO we deserve to be level at least.

12-12.

Simon Brown misses another conversion attempt.

18-12 Leigh.

The boot of Nanyn the difference so far :angry2:

Hope we build on the score line...and find some ideas in attack, it's been mainly pub form one man stuff...I vote Millward out and Mannifield in

40 mins to go, but so far Leigh have been second best IMHO. Still, you're ahead

Sheffield score - Menze Yere out wide.

18-16 Leigh.

Could do with Brown getting the kick

Leigh back ahead - lovely grubber, excellent finish.

Right under the sticks as well.

So that's an eight point lead. The way Brown's been kicking, that'll be far too much :angry2:

Penalty try Sheffield :O

To be fair, Robbie Paul did drag Szostak down as he was going for the try.

24-22 to Leigh, about 20 mins left.

Sheffield win 26-24 :O:ohmy:

:D

In summary: Leigh forwards far better, Sheffield backs and halves superior. Leigh scored most of their chances, Sheffield bombed loads.

What a win!

Come on Sheffield. Stop those whinging Leythers ticking the Performance box ;)

Not that i in any way feel threateded by Leigh if they get to the Grand Final.

Well done Sheffield.

Hard luck Leigh

I do feel sorry for some Leigh fans, but others constantly moaning about Widnes do your Club no favours...........
