Sunburst finish. one of the greatest albums ever recorded. always gets in my top ten of all time. fabulous guitarist and songwriter.

again, sheffield city hall, 1976 be-bop deluxe was one of the best ever gigs.

Did you ever see red noise ER?

Yes, pretty big change of direction from BBD & took most people (including me) by surprise.

Still a good band live, even though they only lasted one album.

One track that didn't make onto the Red Noise album but was later released as a solo Bill Nelson single that is worth checking out is "Do You Dream in Colour?"

Maid i heaven features as a 'most played' on the music player. I've still got my Sunburst album promo poster with my ticket stub from the city hall gig somewhere. i still hoard all that rubbish!

Sadly Ian parkin and Charlie tumahai are no longer with us cos that band i would have loved to have seen again just one more time.

Quiz question then. - without looking or using Google.

What's the address of the Blazing Apostles??

I guarantee that if tommo still used this forum he'd be right in a this be-bop deluxe segment.

they once played a gig at a school I worked azt in Brighouse: Eastfield secondary modern.

to be honest I was underwhelmed.

I wouldn't put that genre in your corner Chris. not really your thing i wouldn't have thought.

Bill nelson is one of the most musically gifted guitarist I've seen. and I've seen quite a few.

Back to the music....

Today I got the River Detectives, Rush, Willie Nile and everything but the girl.

another eclectic mix but all sort my mood.

EBTG for the journey to work. The River Detectives and little Willie Nile for my out and about visits and Rush for a blast on my way home. Sorted.
