Jeremy Lloyd, creator of Allo Allo.

Sorry to hear that, as someone who has a soft spot for 'end of the pier' humour, double entendres and all.

For some reason, one I always remember -

Lt Gruber - Where are you from Rene?

Rene - From a city in the North East of France

Lt Gruber - And is your brother from there as well?

Rene-  (pause) Yes, we are both Nancy boys.

Despite that programme ruining `Secret Army`, for me, Allo Allo was good fun for the first few series.

I preferred Fairly Secret Army with Geoffrey Palmer.

Joe Cocker is truly one of the greatest vocalists ever. He's in that rare select group of performers who almost universally liked. The Beatles cover is as close to flawless as you can get.

I think he is the only person that improved a Beatle version.

He should have done something with the Frogs' Chorus. That'd have been worthwhile.

Good for her. No winners in her fight. The world is a worse place without her, but also a better one.

Very sad.

Remember when the Ken-Deidre-Mike Baldwin love triangle 'will she leave him' story was going on? Think it was early 1983 and it was mega, if twitter had existed it would have crashed. It was everywhere. I remember them announcing it halfway through a Man United game that she had decided to stay with Ken to huge cheers. That's when TV was massive.
