There are plenty of neutral coaches in Hull but they are tied up with either one of the 5 NCL clubs or one of the 2 SL clubs. Hull and District League now stands in isolation.

so how are ther neutral if there TIED UP WITH OTHER CLUBS???

They are neutral to the teams in the Hull and District League. They seem to have a complex about coaching at the 'lower' Hull and District level but if the timing of the annual match was adjusted there might be someone out there who might be dedicated enough to consider helping with the concept. Just a thought but I doubt if any thing will change.

Is this game on this year?

Yes the game is tomorrow night - Wednesday 29th May - at Massey Street 7.00 pm. If the Council Cup Final is anything to go off then we should be in for a treat

If you know the GMB Hull ARL scene then you will realise that the teams are coached by capable, well respected coaches; Craig Beaumont (Wyke) Rob Gardiner (Norland) for Wests, Gareth Williams (Reckitts) Sonny Williams (Bransholme) taking the reins for Easts.

The East v West Origin game is after all a GMB Hull ARL concept, so why should the issue be clouded by coaches who only coach with the NCL. In my mind if they want to be part of the "City Challenge," then players and coaches should be part of the City rugby.

Wests 22 - 6 Easts

Cracking competitive contest between two committed sides. With the slippery conditions there was plenty of dropped ball from both sides which only added to the game, but all in all the two sides did well.

Fine man of the match from Matty Malton (Albert Hotel) and the young Wests' fullback Alec Hardie junior (Hull Wyke) stood out as well. Despite the weather the game was well supported, with Hull Lord Mayor Nadine Fudge sponsoring the game and living legend Johnny Whitely MBE on hand to present the trophy.
