Biggest game of my life - Can't wait for Saturday

Leeds are the Champions, the champion side and recently in finals Warrington have the beating of them.

I'm so happy we've made the GF anything else is a bonus - Like I've said since joining this forum.

Can Warrington win?? Yes they can - Leeds 15 Warrington 23

Best wishes to all Leeds fans on here.

Wigan have already won the league. What's this match for?

Or to put it another way: Wire by 6.

wire to win by 10, over the season they have been outstanding and thoroughly deserve their place in the final, as for leeds playing well in 3 games shouldn't be enough to call them the champions

If it's a tight, low-scoring, defenses-on-top game then Leeds to edge it.

If it's an open game with plenty of free-flowing attack, then Wire by 12 or so.

Wire to win as a fitting swansong for Morley, Briers, Hodgson and co. Desire and talent to beat know how and tenacity.

I'm going for a Warrington win.

Hoping to go to the game but things are up in the air ATM.

recently in finals Warrington have the beating of them.

Only in the Challenge Cup, and everybody beats us in the final of that! Grand Final is a different story though...

Recent finals have been good rather than great. I'd like to see a classic.

Failing that, a real cliff-hanger.

Good luck to both teams.

Really looking forward to this one and would have been a lot more confident of winning if it were Saints. ;)

Just hoping for a good close, hard fought game with no dubious penalties to get my blood pressure up.

BTW Derby City is taking two full coaches to the match. The game is very slowly taking hold in the Midlands!!

I went for 'Warrington Wolves by 1 to 6 points'.

Warrington by 1 point, a Briers drop-goal. Something in the teens; 17-16, 19-18 that sort of score.

Briers' Harry Sunderland winner.

... everyone's going but me, but I'll be fine; watch the match in 3D and have a curry night.

Warrington to win,the ABL's to run out of kleenex. ;) .

Leeds have had two tough games leading up to the final. Warrington seemed a bit subdued in their games.Hoping it's going to be a classic, good luck to both teams.

Not sure Wire looked subdued on Saturday, I thought the way we turned around a game that was going against us was tremendous.

As I think Brian Noble said, Saints were very good, Warrington were excellent.

As for the game, can't call it. It is setup very nicely, Wire having the Cup Final experience and two wins over Leeds in recent years, with Leeds having loads of Grand Final experience - it really is set up to be a cracker!

Subdued compared to pre playoff games.Just seemed to be that little spark missing .

I thought there was in the first game certainly. In the 2nd game I thought we just won the arm wrestle and did it the hard way, certainly nowhere near as fluent in attack as we can be, but credit to Hull for their defence.

In the third game, some of our attack was back to it's very best. Some of the link play was excellent, particularly the build-up to Grix's try - and we did this whilst achieving an 83% completion rate, which is some going.

just seen silverwood is ref so thats a 10 point start for the wire but we shall overcome that with luck.

As a Wire fan, the thing I will be watching with great interest is the team selection.

Mike Cooper has been one of the best players in the playoffs for us, and to drop him now would seem incredibly harsh, but then Carvell is a quality player.

I suspect that the rest of the team picks itself.

I think TS has already admitted he has a selection problem in either keeping Cooper in or selecting Carvell, plus the option of selecting Mcarthy.

Yep - and we know that Smith has no issues with changing a winning team. I think McCarthy has lost his spot now, Grix has finally earned his spot in a Final team IMHO.

Carvell is a tough one - to replace a player who has performed brilliantly in the last few weeks with somebody who could be seen as a risk if he takes a big shot is a massive gamble.

Cooper was the stand out PLAYER when he came onto the scene V Saints and did a decent stint in the other playoff match as well. Carvell can be good, he can also be very poor and is a bit of liability on too many occasions also.

Cooper would I believe be a safer bet and his exhuberance at Saints would cement him the selection for me.

It can backfire if Carvell is not fit - See Keith Senior in the 2005 challenge cup final (also coached by Tony Smith).

Warrington should win this ,but this great Leeds side's record is there for all to see since 2004,and its still hanging in there while it is in transition and getting to the Grand Final fro 5th two years running is a fair achievement too. When it was Saints and Leeds and Bulls who were way above the rest,Either of thos 3 teams actually won the GF.So dont denigrate Leeds for still hanging in there.Best wishes to all wire fans enjoy the day.No predictions from me
