The Hull Kingston Rovers Supporter’s Working Group is working towards starting a Supporter’s Trust. A Supporter’s Trust is a non-profit organisation set up and ran by fans to give them a voice in the club and bring the club closer to the supporters. A Trust is committed to the long term survival of the club through a variety of short term goals as well as acting as a way of strengthening the links between the club and the communities which it serves.

We would like to extend an invitation to the fans of Hull Kingston Rovers to an open meeting on Sunday 9th of December in the Harry Poole bar at Craven Park, doors open at 1.30pm and starts at 2pm.

The open meeting will include a presentation from Supporters Direct, words from special guests and a question and answer session. The meeting will finish with a democratic vote to whether the fans would like a Supporters Trust or not.

Should supporters require any further information or details about the open meeting, please do not hesitate to contact us via email at, on Facebook at or follow us on Twitter @HKRWorkingGroup

With just 5 days to go before the open meeting in the Harry Poole bar on Sunday, I'd like to take the opportunity to give everyone an update on how things are going.

On 29/10 Wayne Parker and Paul Fletcher attended one of our mettings to determine how the ex-players association can help. Local news reporter Charlie Mullen was also present and he wrote the article in the post above this one.

On the Friday after, we filmed our promo video with HullKRTV, which you can view here: and the response was brilliant.

Afterwards, Peter Walker, the Working Group chairman was interviewed live on Radio Humberside's Sports Talk and again the reaction was positive. He came across excellently.

We then leafleted Holderness Road and managed to get rid of around 1000 leaflets and a load of posters, which local businesses are still advertising for us now. Some even said they would be interested to see what partnership can be born out of the Trust concept.

Finally, we invited a local licensee to one of our meetings to discuss the possibility of having a 'Trust HQ' in his pub. The bloke was fantastic and his ideas will really appeal to all members. I can't say any more on that for the time being but it all goes according to plan, we've got ourselves a really good deal there.

On Thursday Rovers are unveiling the new shirts and there will be a party of sorts in the street outside the club shop. We will be there leafleting and inviting people to Sunday's meeting, speaking to fans and answering questions etc.

KCFM's Rob Chadwick, Karl Turner MP and Neil Hudgell are all confirmed. Jacqui Forster from Supporters Direct is speaking and Widnes' Trust 'Trust in Widnes' are coming down too.

Now all is left is for everyone to vote 'YES'!

The meeting was a success and the vote was unanimous. I'm extremely happy and can't wait to get started, which will be straight after work tonight. Well over 200 attended and not one single person raised their hand in opposition so that was nice to see. We also raised £166.11, which was fantastic. Well, there goes my drinking weekends :)
