Jason Robinsons son signs 2 year deal with Wigan

One of the frequently overlooked "benefits" of the glory years at Wigan was the propensity for the players to have children very young, mostly boys. In a perfect world we could have teams replacing themselves by family members seamlessly.

From what I have seen he isn't really anything special. The overwhelming reliance on kicking helps hide other weaker areas of his game. Perhaps Andy Farrell saw this and thought the structure of union would see him go on to a higher level.

32 year olds being replaced with 17/18 year olds maybe cutting it a bit fine!

Rugby League, more than most sports, is a game where you get dynasties or multiple brothers (or cousins with the same surnames). It is partially down to the geographically small area where players have traditionally come from, but there's something about seeing a familiar name after many years that I rather like... and it gives Ray French something to talk about during a Challenge Cup tie. ;)
