Norway announces 2013 season dates!

Each team will play the other 3 teams in their conference twice. 1 home, 1 away. At the end of all the rounds the highest ranking team of each conference will play the second ranked team in the other conference as the 2 semi finals. The winner of both these matches will reach the grand final. Bodø and Tromsø have asked to do a double header on 1 weekend so as to cut down on travelling costs. To make it fair there will be 1 Super weekend where ALL clubs will do a double header to make things fair and even. ALL matches will be played at the same venue to create a festive atmosphere around our Super weekend.

Looks like an exciting setup!

Completing the season in just over two months is a tough challenge. Is there any particular reason for finishing as early as June 15?

Full focus on national teams as they've got 6 games. From july to september, and u20's have got 2 games as well

As I understand it 2012 saw two divisions, but only one was listed on the website. Have I got that wrong?

The 2. division fell apart with the structure and teams never getting started, the few teams ready for it played as feeder teams for 1. division clubs. Tsi, falcons and tigers played for teams in the 1. division, now we've moved away from the division system and turned into conferences, and for the new teams now playing in conferences they will play friendlys but unofficial games.

Good to see the Norwegians have taken the feeder club concept on board so early in their development.

Yeah it works good for the premiership, Hopefully both clubs will field good 9s teams after the 13's season is over.
