Leigh. Just announced on club's Twitter feed. Looks like clubs only allowed to announce what their first home game is at present until full fixture list comes out on Monday.

Im looking forward to the start of the season and if what I've been told is true from a friend who watches most of our training sessions we will be even harder to beat next season so roll on Leigh

...and Dewsbury have announced that their first home game is against us, so an early return for Steve Crossley (plus our other posse of ex-Rams).

It's always an hard game at dewsbury especially in the mud like we found out last season.

For once, this game might not even be televised if it falls on the same week as Halifax-Sheffield.

I hope your right matt more income for us if you are right. Because games that are on TV especially the games against you guys and fax all clubs lose out if they are at home.

Why not just tell us the fixtures I'm glad we know the first one but come on they might as well released them all I cant see the point, this is not aimed at the clubs by the way

Because the clubs need time to review the dates and agree any changes. The season is ten weeks away - what would be gained by publishing the fixtures last Monday, when the clubs got them, and then a boatload of changes the Monday after /

I can just envisage the posts now ..."couldn't organise anything in a brewery ...." "no organisation or leadership .... "etc, etc".

Does anyone know what date the Northern Rail Cup final will be? Many people missed the final last season due to holidays. Don't want to sound over confident, but the odds of us getting there will be fairly short!

Just chill - they're published in 38½ hours and you'll know everything then. B)

Looks ok, apart from a couple of things.

1. A full set of fixtures on the weekend of the northern rail Cup final. Why?

2. A full set of fixtures on the Thursday night before the Challenge Cup final. Why?

'Cos there's too many games to fit into the season. We need a division of 12.
