Has it moved?

No but Lancashire has. On exiting Blackpool you see a welcome to Lancashire sign.

The historic county of Lancashire is still alive and kicking. Just because the likes of Oldham,Wigan,St Helens etc etc etc stopped being under Lancashire County Council in 1974 doesnt mean they are no longer in Lancashire. By that reckoning Blackpool is no longer in Lancashire either. And pursuing the same literal minded stupidity York is no longer in Yorkshire.

There are no Professional clubs in Lancashire since Blackpool went under.

Barrow has been in Cumbria since 1973 - is that long enough for you, or is that too much modernisation of the game for you flat cappers?

Barrow is in Lancashire. The 1973 reorganisation was for administration only. Barrow is still part of the Palatine County of Lancashire.

Cumbria's not a place. It's a council.

You'll be telling me Featherstone's in Wakefield next.

There are many positives especially with 3 new teams in. The problem Championship fans from virtually every club have with things is the way sl clubs have "Partnered" themselves with smaller clubs and the problems it brings. There is no clear understanding of how the sharing of players will work. Even well respected coaches like Karl Harrison, Mark Aston and Daryll Powell are unhappy with this. Maybe as a fan of a SL club you dont properly understand the feelings and concerns many championship people have about the new system People are not just moaning for the sake of it but have genuine concerns

Stop argueing over County boarders please people.

New Argument: Spelling.

Border, as in Border Raiders

Palatines are no longer a reason to call Barrow, Lancashire, it's always been down to where you pay taxes. Speak to the people of Berwick, Northumberland, England when they have to pay an import tax to watch their soccer team play away when Scotland declares "Independance".

So by your logic Neither Hull or York are in Yorkshire. It really is a seismic shift.

Read the act. It specifically states the towns are still part of their historic counties.

Sorry if that's inconvenient to you.
