Very good game to watch this , tight all the way......widnes were down to 11 men at 1 point with sin bins , old boys had a man sent off and played the last 20min of normal time with 12...........about 7mins into the first half of extra time Rocky Price slotted over a drop goal.......2nd round next , when the NCL Prem sides come in ............Old Boys 17 v 16 Widnes ft

Crofton Cougars 4 v 16 Hunslet Old Boys A ft..........

The Final is usually well refereed so the team that plays rugby and keeps their discipline will come out on top but yes it will be very physical that's for sure.

Hi Col. Will see you over at that one, presume you are going ?

Wouldnt have said that applied necessarily last year, mate. There was a lot of provocation, missed by the officials, early on in last years final.

Be good to watch young Gamble playing again - always rated him.

Got told after the game that Widnes where annoyed at the Golden point , but the new ruling (came in this year,) is that after 80 mins of normal time , it goes straight to Golden point , the Widnes lads agreed when the rules were shown to them..............
