Good potential story here to promote Fiji v Ireland as for the former Sheffield Eagles player going up against his former coach.

Yes the plan is to do some sort of travel log with a day to day diary of the RLWC.  We also plan to take plenty of photos along the way so should be good.

Just in time for the World Cup, Network Rail have started engineering works with no weekend trains between Bristol and Newport until Oct 27th! Replacement buses running from and to Bristol Parkway. Anyone going from Temple Meads will need to get a train to Parkway first.

Going to be chaos for the opener in Cardiff then. Not impressed. :(

RLWC Facebook account now saying to get tickets for Cardiff soon, as all but 5000 sold for lower tiers (I make that at least 36.5k sold in those two then) plus tickets for the top tier selling well!

Shaping up very nicely. Starting to get very excited about the World Cup now. To have so many tickets sold several weeks in advance of an international rugby league match in this country is quite something. Expect the general rugby league public to start getting behind the tournament over the next couple of weeks, as the domestic season gets wrapped up.

This is great news. If they have sold 36k so far, you would hope that we can add another 10k minimum to this. It is this kind of message that will build the crowd even further. I've been hanging off booking this one (although have booked a lot more), but may have to get it sorted this week. If we can start with 2 close games in front of a big crowd, then it will really set the tournament up well.

Anyone else yet to make their mind up about going to Cardiff?

What and miss out on seeing Martin Offiah dancing in the opening ceremony? All I'm going for. Should be back in Wakey in time for my tea!

I'm trying to swap days off at work(working that Saturday) and would travel there and back on the train that same day. Just worried about tickets and if it's possible to pay on the gate?

Only thing left to make my mind up about is where to stay Saturday night, Birmingham or Dudley!
