Hudson Smith- Was so homesick that once released from his contract he signed for Bradford. Good business for Salford.

I give you the biggest waste of a team spot overseas or not

Mark Corvo- suppose to be a Bronco first teamer, once took a tap penalty on Wakefiled's line, only had to flop over the line and he managed to knock on.

In the same team was that other Aussie superstar Paul Carridge, nothing I can say will describe this guy, not sure the Parra fans have forgiven him yet for the grand final.

Logan Swann came with lots of expectation, and sadly didn't deliver

I thought Swann did a very good job when he came to Warrington.

Suprised no one has mentioned Matt Orford, so much more than a waste of a quota place!!

Logan Swann came with lots of expectation, and sadly didn't deliver

Not sure if Glenn Tomlinson was on the quota when he was at the bulls (or if he'd lived here long enough to come off it) but he didn't produce the goods at Bradford, a batley Legend but for what ever reason it didn't work at Bradford

Orford wasn't a waste of a quota place in the same way as the others on this thread. A top class player whatever happened.

Swann was a big disappointment for me although we played him at 13 and he just wasn't mobile enough. When he played second row he looked very capable - I thought he was alright given the circumstances. Tomlinson was very good for us, just the player we needed at the time alongside Robbie, right at the start of SL. I'd say he did exactly what we needed him to, then moved him on when the level went up.

I'd have to disagree with Terry Holmes being a waste. Even though we made the long journey to Swinton to see the first dislocation and saw the second in a A Team game (was it foggy or is that just my memory).

After the shoulder operation he played his part - that long pass was great and he must have given some pointers about pushing at the scrum. You younger fans won't know what that means !

Doc Murray at Wigan and Shem tatupu also at Wigan.

To many, Doc Murray was one of the finest signings ever made by Wigan

Came across another today in the form of Basil Ake for Northern. I seem to think he saw service with York but didn't play too many times with us. Anyone?

Former all black full back John Gallagher at Leeds, not sure if he was counted on the quota as he was born in London?

He was on the quota of Leeds Rubbish Antipodeans. They always had at least one in the team. Disappointingly, they don't seem to have one at the moment. Brett Delaney showed discrete promise but then he spoiled it all by getting good at the back end of last season.

Hetherington, try harder will you. You're messing with the game's noble traditions.

Has Ben Cross been forgotten already?

I think he played okay against us for Widnes.

This always comes up. He signed a one year deal, and in his first (or was it second?) game he got a knee injury which finished his season. He went back home to have the operation done. A bit harsh to say he was a waste of a quota space. If it wasn't for the injury, well who knows...

He‘s a professional wrestler now in New Zealand.

Dane Dorahy, Lee Finnerty but the winner must be Anthony Seuseu who managed to even struggled at reserve grade. How he ever got to make an appearance in the NRL I will never know.

Was he related to Jerry? I seem to think he was.

He was I think either a brother or cousin he was a huge lump of a lad but ha about as much mobility as... Well a lump I suppose, the worst player I think I ever saw at Fax think he was the catalyst for our downward spiral!

Les Boyd never really lived up to all the hype either.
