MORRISON PENCILS IN DINNER DATE

1 post in this topic

Dewsbury Rams head coach Glenn Morrison has urged supporters to join him, and the Rams first team squad, at the Eastern Terrace Fundraising Dinner on Friday January 19.

The dinner takes place in the Royal Suite, and is being staged to raise money towards the construction of a new terrace at the Tetley's Stadium.

Renowned MC Pete Emmett will host proceedings, while an exquisite three course buffet meal will be served by noted local caterers Bertie's.

The evening will get under way at 7.30pm and tickets are priced at £35 per person.

"I’ll be there and all of the boys from the first team will be there," said Morrison.

"We’re really looking forward to what should be a great night and another opportunity to interact with supporters.

"There’ll be a player on every table and each of them will be happy to chat to fans and sponsors, so hopefully we’ll get a few people in."

Plans to build a terrace at the Owl Lane of the ground are at an advanced stage and it is hoped that construction will be completed in time for the home match against Leigh Centurions on March 17.

"It’s a very good cause as the terracing will help to underpin the future of the club," added Morrison.

"A lot of fans have been calling for improvements to the stadium for years, and it’s great that the club are making progress on that front.

"I see this as an opportunity for our fans to get behind the project and show their support for our ambitions.

"The Rams supporters already do a fantastic job of backing us, and myself and the players have seen first hand how much the club means to them.

"But it’d be great to meet a few more faces on January 19."

Tickets are available to purchase now now by calling 01924 465489 and can also be bought before and after this Sunday's clash with Halifax (3.00pm KO).
