Just to let you all know that two jars have been received by me at the weekend. the contents will be counted and will let you know what the contents are.

The last donation has been used to help purchase a specialised drill.

A supermarket bag fill has also been arranged for Sunday 15th December at Morrisons Pontefract. Help will be required for this event. This could be a very lucrative day as it puts the club out and about in Pontefract just before the festivities and the season starts.

Another jar was returned on Friday night and the contents of all jars counted. An impressive £68 will now used for materials and tools for team Covo.

Thanks to you all for your donations.

I have several jars still available if any one would like one.

Did well last week to hand out jars at the meet the directors evening. Special thanks go to the lady who returned a jar that was that heavy she had to use a shopping bag on wheels. I have lots of counting still taking place including a rather large tin of donations from lazy students. i will keep you all informed of the totals but its looking reasonable. Looking forward to our next meeting on Monday 28th October to discuss fund raising for ground developments. Venue The White House @20.00 or 8pm.

Just a very big THANK YOU to those who helped out yesterday.. It was a good day for all concerned. The count is being done today so will keep you informed as soon as we know what the total is. but its a 50--50 split for Ground Development and the Foundation. As well as the money raised Pontefract people were reminded of the greatest club in the area bar none

It's a fair point, but the new stands are a magnificent achievement regardless of whether the ground capacity regulations for SL are strictly enforced or not. In many ways the story behind them (transported and built largely by volunteers)symbolises the feelgood factor around the club at the moment. Also, the ground is just going to look better (indeed it already does) - much more like a stadium than was the case with the old terracing. Add to that the new Centre Of Excellence and Featherstone is a much more impressive place to visit than it was a couple of years ago.

I well remember a few years ago think it was at a game against the old celtic Crusaders, when a newspaper reporter i think from the independent did a piece on Rovers and the ground the game attracyed less than 1k spectators, be good if he came back now and did a report

Well folks the first year of fund raising for ground improvements is now at an end. A small committee was set up and comprised of 3. Stuart Jodrell, Steve Godber and myself.

Many ideas were thought of and a lot of hard work done behind the scenes to get fundraising active.

To date the committee has raised some £844 which been used on the ground development work by the volunteers.

As we start off the 2014 season on the field, we will continue our efforts  off the field

The committee are looking forward to raising more monies to help the project work.

The fund raising team has raised money with Super market bag fills, Guess the contents of Jars containing pieces of Pasta and of course Jam Jars. The committee has not charged any expenditure and given up our time to help the club.

We shall be starting again with jars when the league starts and have other fund raisers during the year.

Thanks again to the fundraising team and those who have helped and contributed. It is very much appreciated.

All the very best to you all for 2014 and thanks again.

Can someone buy the camera man a better camera? I wouldn't mind paying extra for HD quality when I watch a match dvd. Quality isn't good at all. There's your ground improvement.

Oh and i am sure the sound sync is out on the fev v wakey dvd. Commentator says who has the ball long after the ball has been given.

Many thanks to the kind people that picked up jars and returned jars. It was a bit hectic the Blood Pressure folk being present as well.

I would like to apologise for poor labels today, this will be rectified for the next home game. (Printed them on the wrong side.)

I will keep you informed regularly of what is happening and the proceeds.(£50 donated last week)
