Yeah, we win one, once our coach resigns!

How does that work again?

Great performance from 1-17 and the coaching staff.Evidence of that Swinton team spirit of old.Great to see Ainscough and Penny back who could both have scored a couple of tries if they held onto to ball from passes and attempted iterceptions. A sound victory, hopefully, the first of many !!!

Brilliant win against a team we've not beaten for a good few years!

Excellen news having Kev Penny in the starting lineup, as well as Daz Hawkyard! All the lads put in a shift and probably the most impressed I've been with David Mills, and a quality try to put us out of reach!

Watto made the right choices at the right times for me, the penalty kick with 5 mins to go being a good example of that. Ryan Shaw continues to impress in all areas and his goal kicking was 100% tonight. The defence was very impressive seeing as we had a good few pens against us, especially in the first 20 mins.

Overall a really good night for the Lions! MOM would probably be Richie Hawkyard, he was brilliant in defence and a threat everytime he came into the line. However there were others who were also brilliant, Smithy, Morrison, Mills, no one really had a bad game (although a couple of chances went begging in the first 40, again!).

Let's kick on now Lions!

Oh, I think the last win away at Keighley was a 30-12 win in 2005 or 2006. That game included a Wayne English hat-trick if I remember correctly!

Well down to the Lions, thought you played some good stuff at our place the other week, Keighley will be hacked off at losing at home, we all need to tray and win as many games at home as we can, nice win for you guys.

Lets see how long it takes for the haters to blame wire for something to do with the result.

all round good performance. Mills has been a revelation this season. Dwyer is awesome. Our defense is outstanding. With a little more composure we will be really good side.

Great result that will hopefully kick start our season. As Phil says it would be nice to dedicate that win to Steve Mc.

Well done to Watto and Marlon.

One for Steve McCormack.

Well said Phill! I don't think he ever lost faith in this team so it's a good justification of his work as well as Watto and Marlon.

Interviewed Marlon after the game and he said the performance was dedicated to Steves hard work.

2005 was the last time Swinton defeated Keighley at Cougar Park

Was I right then Riggy? 30-12 Wayno hat-trick? I know he got at least one as he did a forward roll right under the sticks. Also seem to remember a Mick Coates try, but that may have been in a loss around the same time.

Also, if anyone was questioning the commitment and passion in our squad, then those questions were answered yesterday. The lads got right behind each other after every mistake made and every mistake enforced on Keighley. With Chaz possibly back for next week we're only going to get better!

Yes Bryce you were correct.

And yes the commitment and passion was there last night even in the dressing room after the game us press guys were treated to the Swinton team song followed by the Warrington team song it's the first time they have done that all season so lets hope for a repeat next week.

Great performance tonight. I will post the match report tomorrow.

As usual an excellent match report served up by Riggy.

But (oh dear 'ere we go again) Riggy, your Lions team got the threequarters line-up the wrong way round because it was Ainscough and Penny who shared the left flank and not the right as in the report.

5.Kevin Penny

3.Martin Ainscough

17.Ryan Shaw

22.Gene Ormsby

should be,

Right wing threequarter 22. Gene Ormsby

Right centre threequarter 17. Ryan Shaw

Left centre threequarter 3. Martin Ainscough

Left wing threequarter 5. Kevin Penny
