Salford City Reds player Lee Jewitt and Hull KR player Adam Walker have both been suspended for one match after submitting Early Guilty Pleas in relation to offences committed during their Super League Round Four fixture on Sunday February 24.

Both players were charged with committing Grade B, punching offences during an incident in the 80th minute of the game at Salford City Stadium.

Seems to be the norm this season, throw a punch receive a ban.

I don't have a problem if this is the new punishment. The sending off didn't impact on the game with only 20 seconds left

If its consistently applied then fair enough, seems a bit harsh to me though.

When did fighting start resulting in straight reds?

We have seen reds plenty of times for punching. It was a touch more than handbags, red was fine and a match ban was definitely expected.

Stupid decision to ban these two. OTT.

They both submitted Early Guilty Pleas, so banned themselved.
