Dual Reg - clubs' memorandum

I think it'd've carried more weight if all 14 clubs had been invited - even if only the "Gang of Four" actually turned up.

It now looks like the Four are trying to throw their weight around.

Surely they could have picked a night when Barrow could make it and not when they were playing Batley. Or maybe Barrow do not matter in the grand scheme.

We might have partnered, but still tick all the boxes, as we have only played 1 dual registered in each game, both players young with no super league experience

Don't think anyone has any beef with what Batley are doing, it's Hunslet and Swinton that are taking the Micky Bliss

Has anyone noticed that we play Hunslet in the last game of the season? Assuming Rhinos will be in their play-offs, they will want to give all their fringe players a run-out to keep them match fit in case any of the automatic choices pick up an injury during said play-offs. We could have done with a similar arrangement at the back end of last season to give Jonny Hepworth a game, and any Rhinos stars returning from injury will be obvious choices for the Hawks. The League Leaders Shield could depend on the result yet Rovers could be up against a side mainly comprising top notch Super League players.

Also, what if Hunslet need a point/points to avoid relegation?

The maximum number of D/R players allowed per game is 5 so the majority of the team could not be "top notch Super League players"

That's heartening then, if you think 5 top notch Super league players couldn't bridge the gap. IMO it depends on which 5! I don't fear the fringe players, but the very best returning from injury could make a diference.

A better question might be what if we need points for the play offs?
